THE ONE WHO FELL DOWN THE STAIRS - 02/10/2020

My favorite Tahitian!!
WELL HELLLLO!!! Hahahaha SO do I have a funny story for all of you! You see, we were at a members house for a tea appointment and it was so funny because we finished and I had to use the toilet at the end of it so I went up and used it then I was walking down the stairs or in other words I SLID DOWN THE STAIRS HAHAHA classic Sister Farnworth, love it!! BUT I had to own my fall so I just yelled "OH NO I just fell" and then started laughing really hard and the members were laughing and it was just a good time but now my arm is bruised so that is exciting, we love that!! Hahaha but it was good fun and a memory I will never forget!!!
I MADE FRIED RICE, YUM!!
BUT this week was pretty good!! We had exchanges which was SO FUN!! AHH I love exchanges so much!! AHH we were able to meet with one of their friends and she said she wanted to be baptized so we picked a day and we are so excited for her!!! AHH so good!! Then we had the greatest companionship inventory, we just talked about how important the Saviour is in all of this and we talked about how amazing this work is and I LOOOVED it!! AHHH what else we also had some ADVENTURES hahahah SO we were tracting and let me just explain a few doors for you okay? okay..

DOOR #1

man: *opens door*
me: *see's a cross hanging up and smiles*

man: *reads that it says "is there a God?" and says no there is not one I don't want it
us: okay, you have a great night!
man: you too, god bless

DOOR #2

*tracting*

(there was more to that but that is what I wanted to do hehe)

Cute road, I LOVE ENGLAND!!
SO FUN WE LOVE THAT!!! WOOT WOOT.

BUUUT despite all these adventures, we had an amazing week with our friends!! One of our friends picked a day to be baptized and we are SO excited for her!! She will be baptized on March 14 so that will be an excitiing time and we are so so happy for her!! SHE IS SO PREPARED AHHH!!! HAPPY DAYS!!

WELL now let's get real everyone, this week was a hard week hahaha and sister farnworth is learning A LOT but if we are being real I am so grateful because there have been SOOO many moments that I have realized what I am learning is going to help me so much in the future and I AM HAPPY. I was reading a talk called "Lift Up Your Head and Rejoice" and there was a line in it that says...

"We can and should find joy when we face hard things."

one tired farnworth

AND I LOOOOVE IT SO MUCH. AHHHH I have thought about that often and yanno missions are AMAZING and I love mine with my whole heart but they also push you and try you so you can learn and grow (kind of like life hehe) BUT I know we all find joy when we face the hard, no matter what!! AHHH and what is even greater is it is possible because of our Saviour. IT'S JUST TOOOO GOOD YANNO I LOVE IT. SO yes I just want y'all to look for the good and the joy in everything you do because I PROMISE it is there okay? okay!!!! HAVE THE BEST WEEK.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

GRATEFUL TO BE ALIVE - 02/03/2020

Ahhhh, my favorites!! Sister Johnson and Sister Kidd!!
HELLLLLO MY FAVORITE PEOPLE EVER!!! WELL you see I almost died this week so I am SO happy to be alive hahaha let me tell ya SO we have this meeting on the first Sunday of every month and it's called the 'Why I Believe' Fireside and everyone and their dog is invited!!! What happens is people who were recently baptised talk about their conversion and their story and it is real spiritual and what not SO we were driving there and we almost got there but my sweet sweet companion lead the way and accidentally missed our exit and right when we missed our exit, DOWNPOUR. Like seriously the rain was SO bad so we cautiously drove to the next exit and turned around to go on the right exit and the driver thought a pull off was the exit so had to hurry back on to the freeway THEN when we got off the road ended and he didn't see so my sweet companion yelled and he hurried and turned ahhhh love it THEN to top it all off, he was going to park and almost hit my best buds, Sister Johnson and Sister Sellick!!! Hahahaha BUT we made it in one piece and no one got hurt in the process and I am so glad because OH MY GOODNESS IT WAS INCREDIBLE. It was right next to the temple so we showed our friend and the recent convert around the temple and it was so so good!!
Sister Bullock the sweetest human!!

ME AND MY CUTE COMP!!!
Well, this week was a week of miracles and so many ways that I saw the Lord's hand in everything I did!! AHH SO HAPPY. SO let me tell you a few!!! FIRST, we had to walk home from the chapel on Monday because of some chavs (aka young boy wanna-be's hehe) and it was an hour walk home and we didn't have any good conversations until we finally met this man AND OH MY GOODNESS it was incredible!!! We talked for about an hour about God and life and everything!! He used to be in the armed forces and just had so many incredible experiences and it was just so so amazing! AH then we got his number and he wants to come to church so we are excited for that!! AH, I LOVE IT. THEN we walked the rest of the way home and we got home and I looked in my pockets and was like "uhhh sister, I don't have my bus pass" hahahaha I LOST MY BUS PASS buuuut I was playing with it in my pocket while talking to the man so I knew it fell out on our way home or where we talked to the man! SOOOO we went outside to go back and look for it and let me tell ya, God was testing my faith because I said so many prayers and just asked for help to find it and for the longest time I couldn't see it!! THEN FINALLY I turned to my companion and was about to say I don't think it's here but before I did, I looked down one last time and there was the blessed bus pass AHHH I know it doesn't seem that big but it was such an amazing, faith-building moment!!! I LOVE IT. OKAY there were so many more but the last one I will talk about today is this SO we were meeting with a returning member and it was our first time and we all just became best friends it was so good and we read in the Book of Mormon about how God is listening and we invited her and her husband to pray every night before they go to bed and after we asked her to she looked at me and said "how did you know I wasn't doing that?" OKAY now let me tell you a few things, this was not what we were planning on inviting them to do and they were very reluctant to even meet with us and as soon as she asked me that I just said yanno the Lord works in mysterious ways AND I know I was not alone in that moment and I was guided in so many ways!! AH so amazing I love it!!! MISSIONARY WORK IS AMAAAAZING.
Hehehe, fun pic of me!

The Temple!!

Another big thing that happened this week was a day called Faith Day at a high school (they call it college) here in good old St. Helens and it was so so good!! SO we just had a little display and my companion and I got to just talk to people about God and Jesus Christ and the Book of Mormon and how they all blessed our lives ALL DAY. AH, it was like 2 months of missionary work in one day, so so so amazing and a day I will never forget!!! I LOVE IT.
Cutie flower from Sister Smith
OKAY sorry, this is so so long BUT LAST thing okay so if anyone knows me, you know one of my favourite scriptures in the whole world is Alma 37:47 where it says "look to God and live" WELLLL let's talk about this okay so on Friday we had interviews with our Mission President and after, I asked his wife her favourite talk so I could read it the next day and she just told me anything by Elder Holland or Elder Christofferson SO, of course, I looked at all the talks written by those two and in October 1993 Elder Holland gave a talk in general conference called "Look to God and Live" WHAT YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING. AHHH. It is now one of my favourite talks and I invite you all to read it okay? okay!!! One of my favourite parts of it is where it says:

"I testify this morning of God’s limitless love for his children, of his unquenchable desire to help us heal our wounds, individually and collectively. He is our Father"

I know that God is there for us and I know his love for us is so strong!!! I know that when we look to Him and live, we are strengthened and he will heal our wounds and help us in any way we need and I know this because I feel it every single day here in the good old England (aka my new home). Missions are hard, life is hard but we are not alone and I have felt my Saviour help me every single day without a doubt and I am so grateful for that!! I LOVE THIS GOSPEL SO MUCH and even though
days are hard, I am so happy to be here representing my Best Friend in England. WAHOOOO HAVE A GOOD WEEK.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

TWENTY AND THRIVING - 01/27/2019

HAPPY 20TH BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

ALL THE GIFTS FROM MY SWEET FAMILY!!
HELLLOOOO MY SWEET CHICKEN NUGGETS!!! I AM TWENTY YEARS OLD WHAAAAAAAAAT THIS IS WILD! I am literally so shook hahahaha I feel like this shouldn't be allowed but a new decade has just begun and I feel so happy AHHHH I love it!!!! I had the best day and was spoiled by the members, my family, and my sweet companion so I am forever grateful!!! ALSO, we had an amazing lesson, it was so spiritual and I was so happy!!! SO despite leaving my teens and spending my first birthday away from family, it was amazing!!! I AM SO BLESSED AHHHH I LOVE IT. ALSO, it was a wild week because literally EVERYONE I talked to either had a birthday this week or knew someone who's birthday was this week! I WAS LIKE WHAT. It was a week of birthdays so HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO EVERYONE IN THE WORLD WOOT WOOT.

LAST PIC OF ME AT 19!!
OKAY WELL now to the greatest thing ever, MISSIONARY WORK. AH, this week was amazing!!! We had our Ward Council which was my first one here in good old St. Helens and it was an adventure and a half and something I will TRULY never forget! THEEEEN we were able to teach some friends and had some really spiritual lessons! OH ALSO MY CHINESE FRIEND FROM MANCHESTER GOT BAPTISED AHHHHH I got to video call her and talk to her for a little bit and it was the greatest thing EVER. She was seriously GLOWING AHHH I love her and I love this gospel! IT IS INCREDIBLE. BUT YES so then we were talking to one of our friends about faith and choosing to act and I loved it so much because every single thing in this life is our choice!! We can't expect things to be handed to us because we deserve it but we can work hard and do all we can to be where we need to be or to have what we need to have!!! I LOVE IT. I think I have learned that a lot right now because I am definitely in a situation where I can choose to pity myself or I can choose to love what comes my way and me tell ya, choosing to love what comes is the greatest choice!!!
I FOUND MY STREET!!

LIVERPOOL FOR MY BIRTHDAY!!

AHHH I love this gospel!! If there is one word I could say about this work it would say it is GRATEFUL. I am so grateful to be an instrument in our Heavenly Father's hand because there is truly nothing greater!!! AHHH I also am grateful for the Saviour and the love and grace He shows me every single day!! AHHH it is all too good!! There is a scripture that has come to my head a lot so I am just going to share it with you all OKAY? OKAY thanks!!

SO it is Ether 12:27 (hehe a classic) and it says..

"And if men come unto me I will show unto them their weakness. I give unto men weakness that they may be humble, and my grace is sufficient for all men that humble themselves before me; for if they humble themselves before me, and have faith in me, then will I make weak things become strong unto them."
MY CHINESE FRIENDS BAPTISM!!

WOWWW HOW GREAT IS THAT!!! WOW, when we go to God and we allow our Saviour to help us then he CAN turn our weaknesses into strengths and lift us up!!! His grace is truly sufficient for every single one of it, it is there for every single one of us and I LOVE THAT!!! AHHH what a great knowledge that we can all have, SO SO AMAZING. This gospel is amazing and I just can't get over how much I love it and how much it has changed my life!! I AM SOOOO GRATEFUL. AHHH OKAY I hope you all have the best week!!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

CANCELLED TRAINS & LOTS OF RAIN - 01/20/2020

Exchanges!!

HELLO HUMANS THAT I LOVE! To start off, we were headed up to a place called Lancaster for exchanges and we were just chillin' on the train, Sister Smith was talking to someone in french and life was good BUT THEN the intercom turned on and the train we were on that took us where we needed to be was CANCELLLLEEEEED. Literally, while we were on the train I was like you are you joking hahaha BUT what can ya do so then we just got off and we had to wait in line for a bus BUT no need to fear, senior couples are the BEST. A senior couple came and picked us up and drove us to Lancaster!!! IT WAS SUCH A BLESSING. OH then it rained the whole exchange but miracles happen in the rain so we were happy!!! GOOOOOD TIMES.
Zone Conference:)

This week was a great week!! We had our Zone Conference which is always ALWAYS amazing and this was super spiritual! We talked a lot about how we need to have meaningful prayers, the language of leadership, and how we have to use our own agency and ACT. AHHH I loved it so much because those are all my favourite things! Let me just go off for a minute okay? OKAY, so I think that being positive and having a good attitude literally can make or break you! If we are being negative all the time then nothing is gonna happen so we need to choose how we see the situation and how we act on it!!! ANDDD if we choose with the idea of following our Saviour, the one who loves us more then we can comprehend, we will have the JOY that we all want!!! OKAY, that's all thanks for coming to my ted talk. ANYWHO, yeah so that was an exciting time for good old Sister Farnworth. Then back to exchanges we were suppose to have three appointments and they all cancelled SO we went street contacting and tracting and it was so good because we had so many good conversations BUT one really stood out to me from when we were tracting! SO he was an atheist but open to listening and we were talking and the spirit was just SO strong it was crazy but there was one line that Sister Magdaroag (my companion for the day) said and it was "God Loves You" and WOW. The spirit was insane and you know that he knew it but we didn't want to admit it IT WAS CRAZY OKAY good times, good times. UMMM yes then we just did life and continued in the work! Had a lot of good conversations and met some nice people!!! It has been sunny here in St. Helens so that is nice!!! It is still so cold but the sun makes the days better!

Our pretty street on a Sunny Saturday♡
Pretty sunset!!!

WELLL this week was an emotional rollercoaster for me hahaha well I feel like these past few months have been BUT YANNO I am learning and growing and I am happy! I love the gospel and I love meeting people from all kinds of different backgrounds, there is nothing greater!!! One thing I love the most is this new Come, Follow Me where we have the opportunity to study the Book of Mormon!!! IT IS AMAZING. I love the Book of Mormon and I know that it is truly a guide for our lives today! One little spiritual thought that my Mission President said during Zone Conference about the Book of Mormon was "One day, everyone will crave this book" AND Y'ALL it makes me emotional you don't even understand! I LOVE IT. And I love the gospel and I love ALLLL OF YOU. Have the best week ever!!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

TEA APPOINTMENTS ARE BACK BABY - 01/13/2020

saying bye to sis weyland :'(

bye bye manchester!!!!
HELLLLLO everyone and welcome back to the best blog ever (lol just kidding I know this is probably the most boring one BUT we go with it okay???) BUUUT yes this week was a good week! I have tea appointments again and I forgot how nice it was to have them!! SO I am eternally grateful and I love them so much!! I missed proper British food, it is my favourite!!! SO THAT IS ONE HAPPY SISTER FARNWORTH WOOT WOOT.

WELL this week was good and an adventure! My companion is Sister Smith from Tahiti (like I said last week) AND LET ME TELL YA it is a blast and a half! She is learning English and keeps me laughing so that is always a good time! I LOVE IT. I LOVE HER. I also am learning a lot from her so I am grateful for that!!! HMMM OKAY, what did we do this week??? I had to say goodbye to YSA and that was the worst :( I was a little bit emotional I am not gonna lie BUUUT that's okay!!! We had the sweetest member take us back to St. Helen's from Manchester then we got all unpacked and I started feeling somewhat like I was home so that was nice! THEN we went finding, and we had a LOT of good conversations and even gave out a couple of Book of Mormon's BUUUT no one wanted to meet again which was hard but we keep on going yanno??? OH also we got a call from one of my best friends who is a recent convert and I was so confused BUT it turns out she lives in my area (she got baptised in a different area that is why I was confused) SO it was the sweetest surprise! We met up and had a little lesson and it was the biggest tender mercy, I love that girl! I ALSO HIT MY 9 MONTH MARK WHAT??? Time is flying and now I am an oldie so that is no fun, I think I am just going to start the 18 months over, sorry mom!!!!! Hahaha anywho we also met with a returning member and a recent convert from this ward and it was so good! I am so grateful to be here in St. Helens and I am learning SO much already!!! I missed being in a family ward, y'all don't even understand!!!! I won't lie though, it is an adventure because of the language barrier so sometimes trying to figure things out is an exciting time but I truly love it!!!
my comp, Sister Smith ♡

AHHH ALL SO GOOD. I love being a missionary BUT despite of that sometimes it can be hard and I have my bad days. WELL this week I had one of those bad days and I don't know why BUT I thought of one of my favourite scriptures and I know I have shared this so many times but I am going to share it again because it is ALWAYS applicable! It is John 14:18 and it says... "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." HOMIES. WE ARE NEVER ALONE. Our Saviour will NEVER leave us, no matter how lonely or how hard it gets, he is there, I PROMISE. I know that all it takes is a simple prayer to feel His love. He wants to help you, He just needs you to open the door for Him so DO IT OKAY?? OKAY. I hope you all have the best week and I hope that life is treating everyone SO GOOD because we are SO lucky to be alive!!!!

GOODBYE MANCHESTER YSA HELLO ST. HELENS - 01/07/2019

BYE MANCHESTER!!

oxford road... the road I street contacted down EVERY SINGLE DAY

HIIII FRIENDS. Well you read it right, I am leaving Manchester YSA and headed to good old St. Helens and it is very very bittersweet! I will miss ALLLL the missionaries and all the people here in Manchester so that is a BIG SAD. I will also miss our friends we are working with AND our chinese friend who is getting baptised this month so that is also a BIG sad :( BUUUT I am so excited to go back to a family ward and to work with the people in St. Helens!!! There is someone there for me, I know it!!! AHHH I can't wait. I also will be serving with Sister Smith from Tahiti so that will be an adventure and a half but I am amped for it!!!

This week was good! Honestly kind of crazy though and I don't remember much of what happened, we were able to teach our friends and get a lot of things done! We still have our friends getting baptised this month and they are excited for that so we are SO happy for them :) WHAT ELSE. OH YES, one sister in the YSA went home so that was a shock and a BIGGGGG SAD but she'll be back in no time!!! ALSO we were in a trio for a hot sec so that was fun fun fun ALSO we went to this amaaaazing fireside and we were able to hear the testimonies of a bunch of recent converts which is always the best ANNNND we saw some missionaries! WOOT WOOT I got a picture with both of the sisters I trained so that was a good time AND I saw all my old companions so it was amazing!!! AHHH I love it!
ME AND MY TWO DAUGHTERS!!
WELLLL this is short and sweet but I don't know what else there is to share BESIDES THE BEST PART WHICH IS THE SPIRITUAL THOUGHT WOOT WOOT. ANYWAY this week we focused a lot on testifying and since I hit my NINE MONTH MARK aka HALFWAY MARK (AHHHH) on Friday, I feel like it would be appropriate to share a simple testimony with all my favourite humans in the whole world :) SO I just want to say that I know that our Heavenly Father loves every single one of us SO MUCH. He is so aware of us and every single need in our life. He just gets it! I also know that since He loves us so much, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to atone for us AND since He did that we have Jesus Christ and He is our BEST FRIEND. He is the perfect empathiser and is the same, He just gets it! He is with us always and will always be there to lift us up and help us on the good and bad days. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it can help anyone, no matter who you are or what you've been through, it can help you!!!! I also know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's kingdom here on the earth and I AM SO GRATEFUL to be a missionary here in the UK and I am so happy to share this message with the people here. AHHH. I LOVE THIS GOSPEL. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen. I LOVE YOU ALLLLLLL SO MUCH! Have a great week!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth
Face masks-woot woot!!

I'M A FUN AUNT - 01/01/2020

I'm a fun Aunt!

WOW MY BUDDIES WHAT A WEEK IT HAS BEEN. TO START, Sister Ward went home and MY HEART IS BROKEN. YSA will never be the same so that was a bit sad :( AND since a lot of change happened, let me explain some things SO Sister Weyland and I were sitting at our flat, doing our weekly planning and President McReynolds (our mission president) called us and so we answered and he asked if he could talk to me not on speakerphone so I was like UHHH yes and I totally thought he was gonna follow up on a question I asked him earlier in the week BUT NOPE. He told me that Sister Walker was going to join our companionship for the next week until transfers!!! AHHH. SO since Sister Ward left and she needs a companion and I was SHOOOOK. She was in the flat upstairs with two other sisters so I was not expecting her to come down and join our companionship! BUUUT she did so I am now training one missionary and finishing training the other... BUT the reason I am the fun aunt is because Sister Ward said I can't be the stepmom hahaha so that is exciting!!! It has been a blast and a half AND I love it so much and I have already learned so much so I am GRATEFUUUUL.
Hot Pots!!

WE ALSO had some exciting news this week with our friends!!! SO we taught one of our friends from China and we taught the Plan of Salvation AND SHE ACCEPTED THE INVITATION OF BAPTISM!!!! WAHOOOOO. So she will be baptized on the 23rd of January and she is so good and so excited! Some other sisters had a friend get baptized on Saturday and our friend went up to her after and was like flipping out about how excited she was for her baptism! IT WAS SO PURE. AH, I love how happy the gospel makes people, I LOVE THE GOSPEL. OH also we found out one of our friends is between the ages of 18-30 so we can still teach him which is always an exciting time! Gotta love YSA!!! WAHOOOO. UMMM what else? OH YES, IT IS 2020 WHAT IS GOING ON. I literally am so shook that 2019 is over and truly don't know how I feel about it so THAT IS ROUUUUUGH but what can ya do yanno?
Sister Ward left
WELL all is well here in EMM and we are living our best lives. This December, our mission has read the whole Book of Mormon and highlighted alllll the times it talks about faith and it has been AMAAAAZING. And something that stood out to me and I just love the idea of faith and there was a scripture that just applies to all of our lives!!! SO a man named Alma was talking to his son before he was going to leave for his mission and he is talking about his experience with God and he says in Alma 36:27:

And I have been supported under trials and troubles of every kind, yea, and in all manner of afflictions; yea, God has delivered me from prison, and from bonds, and from death; yea, and I do put my trust in him, and he will still deliver me.

WOW, HOW GREAT IS THAT. When we have faith and put our trust in our Heavenly Father, HE WILL HELP US. AH, I love it so much. I love my Heavenly Father and I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that he is so aware of us. I LOVE IT. I hope you all can remember how much you are loved and how amazing you truly are, AHHH have the best week!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

Fun lesson with our friend-PS, I wrote the words in Chinese!!
