CANCELLED TRAINS & LOTS OF RAIN - 01/20/2020

Exchanges!!

HELLO HUMANS THAT I LOVE! To start off, we were headed up to a place called Lancaster for exchanges and we were just chillin' on the train, Sister Smith was talking to someone in french and life was good BUT THEN the intercom turned on and the train we were on that took us where we needed to be was CANCELLLLEEEEED. Literally, while we were on the train I was like you are you joking hahaha BUT what can ya do so then we just got off and we had to wait in line for a bus BUT no need to fear, senior couples are the BEST. A senior couple came and picked us up and drove us to Lancaster!!! IT WAS SUCH A BLESSING. OH then it rained the whole exchange but miracles happen in the rain so we were happy!!! GOOOOOD TIMES.
Zone Conference:)

This week was a great week!! We had our Zone Conference which is always ALWAYS amazing and this was super spiritual! We talked a lot about how we need to have meaningful prayers, the language of leadership, and how we have to use our own agency and ACT. AHHH I loved it so much because those are all my favourite things! Let me just go off for a minute okay? OKAY, so I think that being positive and having a good attitude literally can make or break you! If we are being negative all the time then nothing is gonna happen so we need to choose how we see the situation and how we act on it!!! ANDDD if we choose with the idea of following our Saviour, the one who loves us more then we can comprehend, we will have the JOY that we all want!!! OKAY, that's all thanks for coming to my ted talk. ANYWHO, yeah so that was an exciting time for good old Sister Farnworth. Then back to exchanges we were suppose to have three appointments and they all cancelled SO we went street contacting and tracting and it was so good because we had so many good conversations BUT one really stood out to me from when we were tracting! SO he was an atheist but open to listening and we were talking and the spirit was just SO strong it was crazy but there was one line that Sister Magdaroag (my companion for the day) said and it was "God Loves You" and WOW. The spirit was insane and you know that he knew it but we didn't want to admit it IT WAS CRAZY OKAY good times, good times. UMMM yes then we just did life and continued in the work! Had a lot of good conversations and met some nice people!!! It has been sunny here in St. Helens so that is nice!!! It is still so cold but the sun makes the days better!

Our pretty street on a Sunny Saturday♡
Pretty sunset!!!

WELLL this week was an emotional rollercoaster for me hahaha well I feel like these past few months have been BUT YANNO I am learning and growing and I am happy! I love the gospel and I love meeting people from all kinds of different backgrounds, there is nothing greater!!! One thing I love the most is this new Come, Follow Me where we have the opportunity to study the Book of Mormon!!! IT IS AMAZING. I love the Book of Mormon and I know that it is truly a guide for our lives today! One little spiritual thought that my Mission President said during Zone Conference about the Book of Mormon was "One day, everyone will crave this book" AND Y'ALL it makes me emotional you don't even understand! I LOVE IT. And I love the gospel and I love ALLLL OF YOU. Have the best week ever!!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

TEA APPOINTMENTS ARE BACK BABY - 01/13/2020

saying bye to sis weyland :'(

bye bye manchester!!!!
HELLLLLO everyone and welcome back to the best blog ever (lol just kidding I know this is probably the most boring one BUT we go with it okay???) BUUUT yes this week was a good week! I have tea appointments again and I forgot how nice it was to have them!! SO I am eternally grateful and I love them so much!! I missed proper British food, it is my favourite!!! SO THAT IS ONE HAPPY SISTER FARNWORTH WOOT WOOT.

WELL this week was good and an adventure! My companion is Sister Smith from Tahiti (like I said last week) AND LET ME TELL YA it is a blast and a half! She is learning English and keeps me laughing so that is always a good time! I LOVE IT. I LOVE HER. I also am learning a lot from her so I am grateful for that!!! HMMM OKAY, what did we do this week??? I had to say goodbye to YSA and that was the worst :( I was a little bit emotional I am not gonna lie BUUUT that's okay!!! We had the sweetest member take us back to St. Helen's from Manchester then we got all unpacked and I started feeling somewhat like I was home so that was nice! THEN we went finding, and we had a LOT of good conversations and even gave out a couple of Book of Mormon's BUUUT no one wanted to meet again which was hard but we keep on going yanno??? OH also we got a call from one of my best friends who is a recent convert and I was so confused BUT it turns out she lives in my area (she got baptised in a different area that is why I was confused) SO it was the sweetest surprise! We met up and had a little lesson and it was the biggest tender mercy, I love that girl! I ALSO HIT MY 9 MONTH MARK WHAT??? Time is flying and now I am an oldie so that is no fun, I think I am just going to start the 18 months over, sorry mom!!!!! Hahaha anywho we also met with a returning member and a recent convert from this ward and it was so good! I am so grateful to be here in St. Helens and I am learning SO much already!!! I missed being in a family ward, y'all don't even understand!!!! I won't lie though, it is an adventure because of the language barrier so sometimes trying to figure things out is an exciting time but I truly love it!!!
my comp, Sister Smith ♡

AHHH ALL SO GOOD. I love being a missionary BUT despite of that sometimes it can be hard and I have my bad days. WELL this week I had one of those bad days and I don't know why BUT I thought of one of my favourite scriptures and I know I have shared this so many times but I am going to share it again because it is ALWAYS applicable! It is John 14:18 and it says... "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." HOMIES. WE ARE NEVER ALONE. Our Saviour will NEVER leave us, no matter how lonely or how hard it gets, he is there, I PROMISE. I know that all it takes is a simple prayer to feel His love. He wants to help you, He just needs you to open the door for Him so DO IT OKAY?? OKAY. I hope you all have the best week and I hope that life is treating everyone SO GOOD because we are SO lucky to be alive!!!!

GOODBYE MANCHESTER YSA HELLO ST. HELENS - 01/07/2019

BYE MANCHESTER!!

oxford road... the road I street contacted down EVERY SINGLE DAY

HIIII FRIENDS. Well you read it right, I am leaving Manchester YSA and headed to good old St. Helens and it is very very bittersweet! I will miss ALLLL the missionaries and all the people here in Manchester so that is a BIG SAD. I will also miss our friends we are working with AND our chinese friend who is getting baptised this month so that is also a BIG sad :( BUUUT I am so excited to go back to a family ward and to work with the people in St. Helens!!! There is someone there for me, I know it!!! AHHH I can't wait. I also will be serving with Sister Smith from Tahiti so that will be an adventure and a half but I am amped for it!!!

This week was good! Honestly kind of crazy though and I don't remember much of what happened, we were able to teach our friends and get a lot of things done! We still have our friends getting baptised this month and they are excited for that so we are SO happy for them :) WHAT ELSE. OH YES, one sister in the YSA went home so that was a shock and a BIGGGGG SAD but she'll be back in no time!!! ALSO we were in a trio for a hot sec so that was fun fun fun ALSO we went to this amaaaazing fireside and we were able to hear the testimonies of a bunch of recent converts which is always the best ANNNND we saw some missionaries! WOOT WOOT I got a picture with both of the sisters I trained so that was a good time AND I saw all my old companions so it was amazing!!! AHHH I love it!
ME AND MY TWO DAUGHTERS!!
WELLLL this is short and sweet but I don't know what else there is to share BESIDES THE BEST PART WHICH IS THE SPIRITUAL THOUGHT WOOT WOOT. ANYWAY this week we focused a lot on testifying and since I hit my NINE MONTH MARK aka HALFWAY MARK (AHHHH) on Friday, I feel like it would be appropriate to share a simple testimony with all my favourite humans in the whole world :) SO I just want to say that I know that our Heavenly Father loves every single one of us SO MUCH. He is so aware of us and every single need in our life. He just gets it! I also know that since He loves us so much, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to atone for us AND since He did that we have Jesus Christ and He is our BEST FRIEND. He is the perfect empathiser and is the same, He just gets it! He is with us always and will always be there to lift us up and help us on the good and bad days. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it can help anyone, no matter who you are or what you've been through, it can help you!!!! I also know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's kingdom here on the earth and I AM SO GRATEFUL to be a missionary here in the UK and I am so happy to share this message with the people here. AHHH. I LOVE THIS GOSPEL. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen. I LOVE YOU ALLLLLLL SO MUCH! Have a great week!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth
Face masks-woot woot!!

I'M A FUN AUNT - 01/01/2020

I'm a fun Aunt!

WOW MY BUDDIES WHAT A WEEK IT HAS BEEN. TO START, Sister Ward went home and MY HEART IS BROKEN. YSA will never be the same so that was a bit sad :( AND since a lot of change happened, let me explain some things SO Sister Weyland and I were sitting at our flat, doing our weekly planning and President McReynolds (our mission president) called us and so we answered and he asked if he could talk to me not on speakerphone so I was like UHHH yes and I totally thought he was gonna follow up on a question I asked him earlier in the week BUT NOPE. He told me that Sister Walker was going to join our companionship for the next week until transfers!!! AHHH. SO since Sister Ward left and she needs a companion and I was SHOOOOK. She was in the flat upstairs with two other sisters so I was not expecting her to come down and join our companionship! BUUUT she did so I am now training one missionary and finishing training the other... BUT the reason I am the fun aunt is because Sister Ward said I can't be the stepmom hahaha so that is exciting!!! It has been a blast and a half AND I love it so much and I have already learned so much so I am GRATEFUUUUL.
Hot Pots!!

WE ALSO had some exciting news this week with our friends!!! SO we taught one of our friends from China and we taught the Plan of Salvation AND SHE ACCEPTED THE INVITATION OF BAPTISM!!!! WAHOOOOO. So she will be baptized on the 23rd of January and she is so good and so excited! Some other sisters had a friend get baptized on Saturday and our friend went up to her after and was like flipping out about how excited she was for her baptism! IT WAS SO PURE. AH, I love how happy the gospel makes people, I LOVE THE GOSPEL. OH also we found out one of our friends is between the ages of 18-30 so we can still teach him which is always an exciting time! Gotta love YSA!!! WAHOOOO. UMMM what else? OH YES, IT IS 2020 WHAT IS GOING ON. I literally am so shook that 2019 is over and truly don't know how I feel about it so THAT IS ROUUUUUGH but what can ya do yanno?
Sister Ward left
WELL all is well here in EMM and we are living our best lives. This December, our mission has read the whole Book of Mormon and highlighted alllll the times it talks about faith and it has been AMAAAAZING. And something that stood out to me and I just love the idea of faith and there was a scripture that just applies to all of our lives!!! SO a man named Alma was talking to his son before he was going to leave for his mission and he is talking about his experience with God and he says in Alma 36:27:

And I have been supported under trials and troubles of every kind, yea, and in all manner of afflictions; yea, God has delivered me from prison, and from bonds, and from death; yea, and I do put my trust in him, and he will still deliver me.

WOW, HOW GREAT IS THAT. When we have faith and put our trust in our Heavenly Father, HE WILL HELP US. AH, I love it so much. I love my Heavenly Father and I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that he is so aware of us. I LOVE IT. I hope you all can remember how much you are loved and how amazing you truly are, AHHH have the best week!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

Fun lesson with our friend-PS, I wrote the words in Chinese!!
