GOODBYE MANCHESTER YSA HELLO ST. HELENS - 01/07/2019

BYE MANCHESTER!!

oxford road... the road I street contacted down EVERY SINGLE DAY 

HIIII FRIENDS. Well you read it right, I am leaving Manchester YSA and headed to good old St. Helens and it is very very bittersweet! I will miss ALLLL the missionaries and all the people here in Manchester so that is a BIG SAD. I will also miss our friends we are working with AND our chinese friend who is getting baptised this month so that is also a BIG sad :( BUUUT I am so excited to go back to a family ward and to work with the people in St. Helens!!! There is someone there for me, I know it!!! AHHH I can't wait. I also will be serving with Sister Smith from Tahiti so that will be an adventure and a half but I am amped for it!!!

This week was good! Honestly kind of crazy though and I don't remember much of what happened, we were able to teach our friends and get a lot of things done! We still have our friends getting baptised this month and they are excited for that so we are SO happy for them :) WHAT ELSE. OH YES, one sister in the YSA went home so that was a shock and a BIGGGGG SAD but she'll be back in no time!!! ALSO we were in a trio for a hot sec so that was fun fun fun ALSO we went to this amaaaazing fireside and we were able to hear the testimonies of a bunch of recent converts which is always the best ANNNND we saw some missionaries! WOOT WOOT I got a picture with both of the sisters I trained so that was a good time AND I saw all my old companions so it was amazing!!! AHHH I love it!

ME AND MY TWO DAUGHTERS!!

WELLLL this is short and sweet but I don't know what else there is to share BESIDES THE BEST PART WHICH IS THE SPIRITUAL THOUGHT WOOT WOOT. ANYWAY this week we focused a lot on testifying and since I hit my NINE MONTH MARK aka HALFWAY MARK (AHHHH) on Friday, I feel like it would be appropriate to share a simple testimony with all my favourite humans in the whole world :) SO I just want to say that I know that our Heavenly Father loves every single one of us SO MUCH. He is so aware of us and every single need in our life. He just gets it! I also know that since He loves us so much, He sent His Son, Jesus Christ, to the earth to atone for us AND since He did that we have Jesus Christ and He is our BEST FRIEND. He is the perfect empathiser and is the same, He just gets it! He is with us always and will always be there to lift us up and help us on the good and bad days. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God and it can help anyone, no matter who you are or what you've been through, it can help you!!!! I also know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints is God's kingdom here on the earth and I AM SO GRATEFUL to be a missionary here in the UK and I am so happy to share this message with the people here. AHHH. I LOVE THIS GOSPEL. In the name of Jesus Christ, amen. I LOVE YOU ALLLLLLL SO MUCH! Have a great week!!!

I'M A FUN AUNT - 01/01/2020

I'm a fun Aunt!

 WOW MY BUDDIES WHAT A WEEK IT HAS BEEN. TO START, Sister Ward went home and MY HEART IS BROKEN. YSA will never be the same so that was a bit sad :( AND since a lot of change happened, let me explain some things SO Sister Weyland and I were sitting at our flat, doing our weekly planning and President McReynolds (our mission president) called us and so we answered and he asked if he could talk to me not on speakerphone so I was like UHHH yes and I totally thought he was gonna follow up on a question I asked him earlier in the week BUT NOPE. He told me that Sister Walker was going to join our companionship for the next week until transfers!!! AHHH. SO since Sister Ward left and she needs a companion and I was SHOOOOK. She was in the flat upstairs with two other sisters so I was not expecting her to come down and join our companionship! BUUUT she did so I am now training one missionary and finishing training the other... BUT the reason I am the fun aunt is because Sister Ward said I can't be the stepmom hahaha so that is exciting!!! It has been a blast and a half AND I love it so much and I have already learned so much so I am GRATEFUUUUL.

WE ALSO had some exciting news this week with our friends!!! SO we taught one of our friends from China and we taught the Plan of Salvation AND SHE ACCEPTED THE INVITATION OF BAPTISM!!!! WAHOOOOO. So she will be baptized on the 23rd of January and she is so good and so excited! Some other sisters had a friend get baptized on Saturday and our friend went up to her after and was like flipping out about how excited she was for her baptism! IT WAS SO PURE. AH, I love how happy the gospel makes people, I LOVE THE GOSPEL. OH also we found out one of our friends is between the ages of 18-30 so we can still teach him which is always an exciting time! Gotta love YSA!!! WAHOOOO. UMMM what else? OH YES, IT IS 2020 WHAT IS GOING ON. I literally am so shook that 2019 is over and truly don't know how I feel about it so THAT IS ROUUUUUGH but what can ya do yanno?

WELL all is well here in EMM and we are living our best lives. This December, our mission has read the whole Book of Mormon and highlighted alllll the times it talks about faith and it has been AMAAAAZING. And something that stood out to me and I just love the idea of faith and there was a scripture that just applies to all of our lives!!! SO a man named Alma was talking to his son before he was going to leave for his mission and he is talking about his experience with God and he says in Alma 36:27:

And I have been supported under trials and troubles of every kind, yea, and in all manner of afflictions; yea, God has delivered me from prison, and from bonds, and from death; yea, and I do put my trust in him, and he will still deliver me.

WOW, HOW GREAT IS THAT. When we have faith and put our trust in our Heavenly Father, HE WILL HELP US. AH, I love it so much. I love my Heavenly Father and I KNOW without a shadow of a doubt that he is so aware of us. I LOVE IT. I hope you all can remember how much you are loved and how amazing you truly are, AHHH have the best week!!!

CHRISTMAS CHEERS - 12/25/2019

Christmas Eve!!

HELLO MY FAVOURITE PEOPLE IN THE WHOLE WORLD. MEEEERRRRY CHRISTMAAAAS!!! I hope you all had the GREATEST Christmas in the whole world! We had SO much fun here in good old Manchester! LET ME TELL YA. Okay so first, on Christmas Eve we had district council which was super good and we talked a lot about charity which is my absolute favourite thing in the WHOLE world. THEN Sister Ward gave a departing testimony because she goes home next week and that was a BIG SAD. but we will live because we are gonna be best buds we get home!! THEN we allllll went upstairs and I made crepes for our whole district which was sooo fun! THEN Sister Bullock and I wrapped some Book of Mormon's for our street display and we went and caroled for THREEE WHOOOLE HOURS. Oh my goodness it was insane BUT SO FUN. I met a lot of amazing people and it made me so happy. Then we had t stop proselyting at 5pm so we went and got some Chinese food and then just walked around Manchester and it was just so fun!!! I felt so relaxed and just looked around and took it all in for a minute. I LOVE ENGLAND AHHH. Then we all went to the chapel and we had a HUGE foosball tourney which was sooo fun ahahaha we lost BUT what can ya do! then we all went home and just hung out, it was the best Christmas Eve of my liiiife.

THEN CHRISTMAS. I LOVE CHRISTMAS. Okay so we woke up and went running because our mission does this thing for Christmas Eve, Christmas, and Boxing Day (the day after Christmas) called the EMM-athon and so we ran on this road called oxford road which is the road we street contact on all day every day and there were no buses so we just ran in the middle of the road... BEST THING EVER. then we went home and all the sisters went upstairs and we opened gifts then we went to the church for a big Christmas lunch which was SOOO fun! AHHH then we just hung out all day and honestly it was just the greatest thing ever. I love Christmas time as a missionary!!! I AM SO HAPPY.

GOOD TIMES. BUT this week was also good, we had interviews with our mission president which was fun. there was a whole fiasco we were able to talk so that was fun BUUUUT that's a story for another time (or never hahaha) but I love my mission president, he is the greatest man ever! THEN we had a friend from China say she would be baptized when she prays about it and knows that she should!!!! SO HAPPY!! Then I gave a talk in church on Sunday which was so fun!!! Sister Bullock was such a homie and helped me out BIG time. AH honestly this week was so good and I am so happy to be a missionary! I love this work and I love the Christmas Spirit of it all!! SO GOOD.

OKAYYYY A SPIRITUAL THOUGHT FOR ALL Y'ALL. SO there was a quote that Sister Bullock shared with me and it was talking about Mary and when she found out that she was pregnant and could have worried about what everyone would think, WELL the quote said “she thought only on God’s opinion and that was sufficient.” AND I LOVE THIS because God's opinion of us is the only thing that should matter, not your neighbor or your best friend BUT only God's AHHH so I want to invite you all to think about who's opinion you care most about in life and make sure that it is the opinion that genuinely should matter. BUT you are all amazing and I love you all TOO MUCH. have the greatest weeks EVEEEERRR.

TRULY A DECEMBER TO REMEMBER - 12/16/2019

Merry Christmas from the best sister missionaries!!

 HI FRIENDS WHAT IS UP. This week has been CRAAAAZY wild but so fun!!! I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY. OKAY for starters, we had our CHRISTMAS CONFERENCEEEE!! And that was a blast and a half okay SO we started with going to the temple which was honestly SO needed and the greatest thing of my life!!! I just love the temple so so so SO much!!! THEN we had our variety show which was so fun! Our district sang the youth theme song for 2020 which is called "I will go and do" by my boy David Archuleta AND IT IS SO GOOD. Everyone go listen to it, right now!! (hehe I'm such a missionary) BUT yes so we did that half in Chinese and half in English and the SPIRIT WAS SO STRONG. Let me tell ya it was the GREATEST!!! THEN we had our devotional which was great!! We talk about remembering the JOY and having faith in the work and honestly all the good stuff. AHHH I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY!!!

ALSO, there was a Chinese baptism and like an hour before the elders told me that I was witnessing so that was an adventure but it was so fun! I am totally digging this change! THEN we had exchanges! We went to a place called Stockport. It was so fun and I was with my good buddy Sister Bulkley! I love her so much and we had a bumpin good time! We taught some lessons and had some good studies and had a Light the World street display which was some GOOOOD FUN. AH I love exchanges and I love other missionaries!!! AND it was fun because we travelled an hour home from exchanges THEN I went on a split with Sister Bullock and got tea and got RIGHT BACK on a train to go to a baptism with her friend in Stockport SO that was an adventure but it was good because our companions got to go to the Chinese Christmas Party!!! SUCH A GOOD TIME.

Christmas Conference

THEN we had our Christmas Sunday Service and it was SO good!! AND after church, alllll the missionaries here in the YSA were finding and there were about 5 people on the road we street contacting on SO we changed it up and went carolling down by the Christmas Markets and it was so fun!!! We met the greatest humans and just had so much fun and it TRULY brought the Christmas spirit :) I LOVE CHRISTMAS AND MY SAVIOUR.

8-month mark!!

WELL FRIENDS. My p-day isn't till the 26th SO I am gonna have to talk about Christmas a little bit early BUT WOW. WHAT AN EXCITING TIME TO BE ALIVE. Something I LOVE and we have been focusing on is the fact that Christmas is such a gift and our Saviour is such a gift!!! We are so blessed to have such an amazing friend that would go through everything just for US. I LOVE IT. 8 MONTHS, SAY WHAT?? - 12/09/2019

Christmas Market!!

HI FRIENDS!!! HOW ARE YOU ALL?? I MISS YOU. Ah this week has been CRAZY. My emotions have been all over the place (for example, Sister Bullock and I, our companions have language study so for that hour we just split and go study but one day this week we just layed down for an hour and CRIED hahahaha) and I don't know why BUT that's a mission for ya! I got my new companion and she is so sweetie! Her name is Sister Weyland and she is from Utah but her family lives in Germany now so that's good fun!!! She is learning Chinese and doing SO good! AH it is crazy!!! It's so fun seeing missionaries fresh from the MTC because the field is always SO different from what they imagine so that keeps you on your feet!

We had a GOOOOOD week this week, two friends came to church which was INCREDIBLE. One of them is a friend we've been working with for a chubby minute and he came to a bunch of activities this week which was SO out of his comfort zone but we were so happy... I even shed a few tears of joy about it :') We also had a lot of good lessons! We are teaching our friend from China and she is MY BEST FRIEND. Oh my goodness I LOVE HER. She is so pure and Sister Ward said we are the same human SO OBVIOUSLY we get along well. It is so good ahhhh I LOVE IT. Then we also had splits this week which is always good fun! All we did was talk to people on the street but that is like my favourite thing so I'm not even mad about it!!!

HMMM what else?? I DONT EVEN KNOW but I do know is I have had my mission call for a YEAR and this upcoming week I will hit my EIGHT MONTH MARK. HOW CRAZY IS THAT???!!! AH. This is all going WAY too fast and everyday I am sad about how quick it goes!!! Y'ALL DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND. UGH but that is enough of dwelling on that LETS FINISH WITH A SPIRITUAL THOUGHT OKAY NICE ONE. WELL this week I have learned a lot about patience (again) SO I have studied a lot about patience and I LOVE THIS SCRIPTURE!!! It is Mosiah 24:16 and it says...

16 And it came to pass that so great was their faith and their patience that the voice of the Lord came unto them again, saying: Be of good comfort, for on the morrow I will deliver you out of bondage.

WHEN WE ARE PATIENT THEN GOD WILL HELP US. It is so true !!! That is something I have seen a lot and I know that the Lord is on our side ALWAYS. When we are patience and have faith in Him, he will help us!!! I KNOW IT. HAVE THE BEST WEEK.

SLEEP TALKING AND GETTING UP AT 2 AM??? - 12/02/2019

HIIII BUDDIES.  OKAY so this week I had to say bye to Sister Gremillion which was a big sad BUT she is going to Liverpool so I am excited for her! THEN Sister Bullock LITERALLY TALK IN OUR SLEEP and twice this week we woke up at 1:30/2:00 am to us talking and thinking it's time to get up for the day IT WAS WILD. We are convinced we have CRAZY conversations in our sleep SO that has been an adventure in itself!!!

ANYWAY, it was a crazy week because we are waiting for our new companions to come so we have been covering both of our areas AND LET ME TELL YOU IT HAS BEEN WIIIIILD. We have literally been crazy busy allll week and had 7 lessons every day so that has been fun!! BUT truly it has taught me so much and helped to rely on the Spirit during lessons because we didn't really have much time to plan BUT it was amaaaazing!!!

AHHH but our friends are doing so so GOOD. They are progressing, we are still trying to find more people to invite closer to Jesus Christ BUT it is happening and it is going well! WE LOVE IT. I love being a missionary so much and it is seriously the greatest thing in the whole wide world, I am SO excited to be here for Christmas, ESPECIALLY because of Light the World!! IT IS INCREDIBLE! I love it and I love the idea of Lighting the world every day through small acts of service!!! Christmas decorations are up!!

I AM A MOM PT. 2???!!?? - 11/25/2019

sister gremillion is leaving me :(

HELLO FRIENDS. YES YOU READ IT RIGHT. I am training another sister!!! SO FUN. It's crazy though because she is in the Provo MTC right now and doesnt get here until next Tuesday WHICH IS WILD. soooo the other sister that is training and I will be companions for a week THEN we will go to the mission home next week together to get our new companions.. WE ARE SO EXCITED! AH but this week will be crazy because we are two different areas putting our schedules together so we will be SO busy but it will be good!!! AHHH I LOVE IT.

Exchanges with Sister Buck!!

BUT THIS WEEK WAS SO GOOD. We had exchanges this week and Sister Buck came to YSA to work in my area with me which was SO FUN. I love her so much!! We just taught some friends and found some people to teach! Which was so nice! SHE IS SO CUTE. We talking about so much and I am just so grateful for her!!! YAY. Then we just taught people and met some amazing people!!! ALSO we had tea with a couple of members which was so fun!! THEN we had to go to train the trainers and it was so good! There was only three missionaries and then President Mcreynolds and the Assistants so very personal and we learned so much and it was so good :) SO SO FUN. AHHH I LOVE IT.

BUT this week I had a really amaaaazing experience! SO we were on the street and i was talking to this man and he was telling me how so much is on his plate and how he can't keep up so he started to read the Bible to find peace so I told him about the Book of Mormon and he hadnt heard of it and so I shared a scripture that came to my head after hearing all that is on his plate and it was Mosiah 4:27....

27 And see that all these things are done in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength. And again, it is expedient that he should be diligent, that thereby he might win the prize; therefore, all things must be done in order.

And he told me it was an answer to prayers and I just thought a lot about that this week! YOU SEE just like Elder Holland says "It is not intended that we run faster than we have strength. … But [in spite of] that, I know … many of you run [very,] very fast" SO YOU KNOW we only need to do what we can, that is all that God asks of us!!!! SO KEEP ON KEEPING ON EVERYONE. HAVE THE BEST WEEK.
