8 MONTHS, SAY WHAT?? - 12/09/2019

Christmas Market!!

HI FRIENDS!!! HOW ARE YOU ALL?? I MISS YOU. Ah this week has been CRAZY. My emotions have been all over the place (for example, Sister Bullock and I, our companions have language study so for that hour we just split and go study but one day this week we just layed down for an hour and CRIED hahahaha) and I don't know why BUT that's a mission for ya! I got my new companion and she is so sweetie! Her name is Sister Weyland and she is from Utah but her family lives in Germany now so that's good fun!!! She is learning Chinese and doing SO good! AH it is crazy!!! It's so fun seeing missionaries fresh from the MTC because the field is always SO different from what they imagine so that keeps you on your feet!

We had a GOOOOOD week this week, two friends came to church which was INCREDIBLE. One of them is a friend we've been working with for a chubby minute and he came to a bunch of activities this week which was SO out of his comfort zone but we were so happy... I even shed a few tears of joy about it :') We also had a lot of good lessons! We are teaching our friend from China and she is MY BEST FRIEND. Oh my goodness I LOVE HER. She is so pure and Sister Ward said we are the same human SO OBVIOUSLY we get along well. It is so good ahhhh I LOVE IT. Then we also had splits this week which is always good fun! All we did was talk to people on the street but that is like my favourite thing so I'm not even mad about it!!!

HMMM what else?? I DONT EVEN KNOW but I do know is I have had my mission call for a YEAR and this upcoming week I will hit my EIGHT MONTH MARK. HOW CRAZY IS THAT???!!! AH. This is all going WAY too fast and everyday I am sad about how quick it goes!!! Y'ALL DONT EVEN UNDERSTAND. UGH but that is enough of dwelling on that LETS FINISH WITH A SPIRITUAL THOUGHT OKAY NICE ONE. WELL this week I have learned a lot about patience (again) SO I have studied a lot about patience and I LOVE THIS SCRIPTURE!!! It is Mosiah 24:16 and it says...

16 And it came to pass that so great was their faith and their patience that the voice of the Lord came unto them again, saying: Be of good comfort, for on the morrow I will deliver you out of bondage.

WHEN WE ARE PATIENT THEN GOD WILL HELP US. It is so true !!! That is something I have seen a lot and I know that the Lord is on our side ALWAYS. When we are patience and have faith in Him, he will help us!!! I KNOW IT. HAVE THE BEST WEEK.

SLEEP TALKING AND GETTING UP AT 2 AM??? - 12/02/2019

HIIII BUDDIES.  OKAY so this week I had to say bye to Sister Gremillion which was a big sad BUT she is going to Liverpool so I am excited for her! THEN Sister Bullock LITERALLY TALK IN OUR SLEEP and twice this week we woke up at 1:30/2:00 am to us talking and thinking it's time to get up for the day IT WAS WILD. We are convinced we have CRAZY conversations in our sleep SO that has been an adventure in itself!!!

ANYWAY, it was a crazy week because we are waiting for our new companions to come so we have been covering both of our areas AND LET ME TELL YOU IT HAS BEEN WIIIIILD. We have literally been crazy busy allll week and had 7 lessons every day so that has been fun!! BUT truly it has taught me so much and helped to rely on the Spirit during lessons because we didn't really have much time to plan BUT it was amaaaazing!!!

AHHH but our friends are doing so so GOOD. They are progressing, we are still trying to find more people to invite closer to Jesus Christ BUT it is happening and it is going well! WE LOVE IT. I love being a missionary so much and it is seriously the greatest thing in the whole wide world, I am SO excited to be here for Christmas, ESPECIALLY because of Light the World!! IT IS INCREDIBLE! I love it and I love the idea of Lighting the world every day through small acts of service!!! SO MY INVITATION TO ALL OF MY BUDDIES BACK HOME IS TO GO TO LIGHTTHEWORLD.ORG AND DO SOMETHING THIS DECEMBER TO LIGHT THE WORLD!!! Then I need you ALLL to email me something you did, big or small! I AM A MOM PT. 2???!!?? - 11/25/2019

HELLO FRIENDS. YES YOU READ IT RIGHT. I am training another sister!!! SO FUN. It's crazy though because she is in the Provo MTC right now and doesnt get here until next Tuesday WHICH IS WILD. soooo the other sister that is training and I will be companions for a week THEN we will go to the mission home next week together to get our new companions.. WE ARE SO EXCITED! AH but this week will be crazy because we are two different areas putting our schedules together so we will be SO busy but it will be good!!! AHHH I LOVE IT.

Exchanges with Sister Buck!!

BUT THIS WEEK WAS SO GOOD. We had exchanges this week and Sister Buck came to YSA to work in my area with me which was SO FUN. I love her so much!! We just taught some friends and found some people to teach! Which was so nice! SHE IS SO CUTE. We talking about so much and I am just so grateful for her!!! YAY. Then we just taught people and met some amazing people!!! ALSO we had tea with a couple of members which was so fun!! THEN we had to go to train the trainers and it was so good! There was only three missionaries and then President Mcreynolds and the Assistants so very personal and we learned so much and it was so good :) SO SO FUN. AHHH I LOVE IT.

BUT this week I had a really amaaaazing experience! SO we were on the street and i was talking to this man and he was telling me how so much is on his plate and how he can't keep up so he started to read the Bible to find peace so I told him about the Book of Mormon and he hadnt heard of it and so I shared a scripture that came to my head after hearing all that is on his plate and it was Mosiah 4:27....

27 And see that all these things are done in wisdom and order; for it is not requisite that a man should run faster than he has strength. And again, it is expedient that he should be diligent, that thereby he might win the prize; therefore, all things must be done in order.

And he told me it was an answer to prayers and I just thought a lot about that this week! YOU SEE just like Elder Holland says "It is not intended that we run faster than we have strength. … But [in spite of] that, I know … many of you run [very,] very fast" SO YOU KNOW we only need to do what we can, that is all that God asks of us!!!! SO KEEP ON KEEPING ON EVERYONE. HAVE THE BEST WEEK.

I'VE BEEN KEBAPTIZED- 11/18/2019

HELLLLLOOOO BUDDIES. AHH, what a week!!! Okay so everyone has to do this thing to be baptized in the mission and you just eat a kebab!! SO FUN. So I lasted 7 months without having to eat one BUUUT I have been caught and I had to eat one!!! Luckily, it wasn't awful though so that was fun!!! GOOD DISTRICT BONDING LEEEET'S GO!

BUUUT this week was good! honestly, crazy crazy crazy!!! so much has been going on!! OKAY, this will be a short email but let's begin we started with district council and we had a huuuge zone call which was so fun! We talked about how we can better push the work and get it moving, there have been so many miracles too! For reals, there has been about 20 people put on date this past week!!! AHH LET'S GO ENGLAND MANCHESTER MISSION. It's so good!!! I love it, I love being a missionary!! It was so amaaaaazing.
AHHH but yes this week we saw so many new friends and met so many amazing people!! We are still working here in the great land of England EVEN WHEN people call us babe and pretty ladies all the time hahaha gotta love it!!! ALSO, it is getting cold and officially dark at 4pm, that's so fun! It keeps life interesting!!! AH, I LOVE IT THOUGH. OH AND we went to a Christmas Market this week, CHRISTMAS HAS BEGUN AND THE MUSIC IS BEING PLAYED AND I AM SO HAPPY AHHHH I LOVE CHRISTMAS!!!

OKAY SORRY THIS WAS A QUICK ONE BUT there is a scripture I have loved a ton this week and thought so much about. AH okay so it is in Enos 1:4 and it is talking about prayer!!! So it says...

4 And my soul hungered, and I kneeled down before my Maker, and I cried unto him in mighty prayer and supplication for mine own soul, and all the day long did I cry unto him; yea, and when the night came I did still raise my voice high that it reached the heavens.

AHHH LOVE IT. PRAYER IS SO GOOD. GOD IS SO GOOD AND IS THERE FOR US ALWAYS!!! So I want you all to pray because it has helped me so much this last week and God is waiting to help us, we just have to let Him!!!

REMEMBRANCE DAY - 11/11/2019

HELLO SWEET HUMANS THAT I LOVE!!! I am so grateful for all of you and I just love you all!!! OKAY so this week was a good week for Sister Farnworth. FIRST, it is Remembrance Day here in England and it was amazing!!! We walked down to a place for church called St. Peter's Square for a parade and a moment of silence and stuff and it was INCREDIBLE. The Spirit was so strong and AHHH it was so so so amazing! I feel so lucky to have been able to go to it!! AHHH then we put a wreath of Poppies on the memorial from the church. IT WAS SO GOOD.

THEN we had family home evening and we did a puzzle for TWO HOURS and we didn't finish but we finally finished with some members after church on Sunday so it was SO GOOD. I have learned that I have a love for puzzles so if you ever wanna do a puzzle then hit ya girl upppp!! ALSO, we had zone conference and I just LOVE zone conference!!! I have definitely been in a little bit of a funk these past couple of weeks but zone conference always helps me get out of it so that was so nice!!! I just realize I need to turn to my Savior more than I need to turn to myself! CRAZY, I KNOW. hahaha just kidding if I got a pound for every time I realized that I'd be rolling in it!!! BUT we are humans we learn things and sometimes need little reminders yanno?

BUT also our miracle friend set a date for baptism!! YAYYYY he is so amazing! It'll be on January 25, 2020 (so close to my birthday hahaha) BUT WE ARE SO HAPPY FOR HIM. We are hoping he will have the desire to move it closer as we keep teaching him but we are still so so SO happy for him! Other than him our friends aren't progress as much as we'd like but we are working hard and still smiling!! AND we are still working hard to find those prepared people!!! IT'S SO FUN. I love this work and I love being a missionary, it truly is amazing.

OKAY TWO MORE THINGS AHH THIS IS ALL OVER THE PLACE. I hit 7 months this week SO that means I only got 11 months left :( AHHH my heart is broken, I mean I know I have so much longer left but I AM SAD I NEVER WANT TO GO HOME. SO yeah that is my life right now, I am just trying to work the hardest I can hahaha

LASTLY, for my thought this week I have thought a lot about what to talk about and in zone conference and I feel like every part of life (probably because I'm a missionary hahahaha) we have talked a lot about FAITH. AND if you know me you know I love FAITH. so it's amazing and I love Alma 32 because it's all about that! BUT specifically I love verse 21 where it says...

"21 And now as I said concerning faith—faith is not to have a perfect knowledge of things; therefore if ye have faith ye hope for things which are not seen, which are true."

One of my favorite things is when people say they have to know and see with pure evidence the truth of God and Jesus Christ and I love this scripture because it's like well if we knew and had pure evidence we wouldn't need faith and God wants us to have faith in Him and Jesus Christ. THEREFORE, we will not always have a perfect knowledge and a lot of the time we will have to go off our faith but when we rely on the Lord and strengthen our faith then he will bless us and it will be amazing SO I hope everyone can find a way this week to strengthen their faith and I know that God and Jesus Christ will strengthen you for your efforts. I LOVE THIS GOSPEL. I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GOOD WEEK.

HAPPY HALLOWEEN - 11/04/2019

HELLO EVERYONE! I HOPE YOU ALL HAD THE HAPPIEST HALLOWEEN EVEEEEER!!!! It was so weird being here for Halloween I am not gonna lie! I miss my spooky Halloween movies and haunted houses BUT this was honestly probably one of my favorite Halloween's EVER. SO LET'S BEGIN. We had a Halloween miracle, it was seriously incredible!!! OKAY, so it was a Thursday which means weekly planning WOOT WOOT. But we just finished and we were getting ready to go out and find some people to teach and we got a call from a member who said "oh hey there is a man here that wants to meet with missionaries!" AHH y'all don't even understand that is the best thing to hear as a missionary!! SO we hurried to the chapel and met with the man and turns out he has met with missionaries before and almost got baptized but it didn't work out and he wants to now!!!! IT WAS AMAZING. MIGHT I ADD that I literally told Sister Gremillion the day before that my dream is for someone to come to us and say that they want to be baptized THEN IT HAPPENED? AH, miracles are real and God is so aware of us it is so so amazing!!! I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY. THEN we had to be inside by 6pm and clean SO we did that but then we had an hour left so we went upstairs to the other sisters flat and carved some pumpkins and made some pumpkin chocolate chip cookies!!!! IT WAS SO FUN. Definitely a memory I will never forget, I LOVE HALLOWEEN :)

HAPPY HALLOWEEN!!

BUT YES, this week was so good!! we met some amazing people and had some good (also interesting) conversations and we were just living our best life! We were able to go to this fireside called the "Why I Believe Fireside" where recent converts share their testimonies and why they believe and it was so good!!! I saw some people from Chester and our friend came which was amazing!!! The Spirit was so strong and so undeniable which was AMAAAAZING. AH, I love it!!! I LOVE BEING A MISSIONARY.

OKAY then for the spiritual thought this week I'm gonna talk about a scripture I read!!! AH, it's so incredible!!! SO I was studying in Alma 37 when Alma was counseling his son Helaman and I LOVED verse 47 and it says...
"And now, my son, see that ye take care of these sacred things, yea, see that ye look to God and live. Go unto this people and declare the word, and be sober. My son, farewell."

AHHHH I LOVE THIS and I think my favorite line is when he says "look to God and live." I love this so much!!! I think it is so easy to get focused on ourselves and how we can be better and what we can change when really what we should change is where we are looking. If we are looking inward we aren't gonna have that joy but when we look outward and look to God then we will have that joy. SO EVERYONE LOOK TO GOD AND LIVE. GOD IS SO GOOD. I LOVE THIS GOSPEL.

"EGYPT IS NOT IN AFRICA!!!" - 10/28/2019

OKAY, HELLO EVERYONE. SO FUNNY STORY, hahahaha I am so dumb but we were on the phone with our zone leaders and we were talking about our friend and where he was from and we gave them the hint that he was from Africa so they were guessing and said Egypt and I was like WHAT Egypt is not in Africa!!! WELLLL long story short I looked at a map and IS in Africa!!! good times good times, hahahaha I love it!

BUT this week was wild and it was so fun!!! We were crazy busy and then the time change happened and we got an extra hour of sleep so you know we were SOOOO grateful!! But also our friend was baptized this week! It was amazing!!! We were able to witness and that was incredible!! The Spirit was SO strong and I was just thinking of how grateful I am to be here and to be a missionary and to help people find that everlasting joy that the gospel brings AHHH it's so good!

SO yes, this week was kind of crazy! We found a lot of new friends, we are trying to meet with them all and see if they are all solid BUT it was an exciting time!!! Talking to people is always fun! ALSO we had a night where we were in a trio because we had to help another set of sisters out when they went on exchanges so that was fun!!!! Sister Walker came and joined us for the night and it was a bumpin good time!!! AHHH I loved it!!

HONESTLY, this week was wild! And it was just conjumbled with finding and teaching and the baptism! but it was so good and so fun!!! SO this email will be really short because of not a lot of time!  BUT MY THOUGHT is that we are so privileged because WE LITERALLY GET TO TALK TO GOD. HOW AMAZING IS THAT??? We are so lucky to just have prayer in our lives and it is such a blessing!! OKAY, SO REAL QUICK IMMA INVITE EVERYONE THAT READS THIS TO PRAY. it doesn't have to be anything huge but just a simple prayer letting God know about your trials and what not because I know he cares about us and is there for us I PROMISE that he is listening!!! We are so lucky to be able to talk to him so we gotta take advantage of it!!! I LOVE YOU ALL HAVE A GOOD WEEK <3
