AH WE GOT TO SEE PRESIDENT AND SISTER MCREYNOLDS - 07/13/2020

Seeing the McReynolds!!

YES, YOU READ IT RIGHT MY FRIENDS. The McReynolds did a little mission tour and we got to see them and talk to them!!! ALL socially distanced of course but it was so incredible. I love them TOOOOO much!!!! We just talked and left and cried and had all the good and it was incredible. They are the best humans EVER. AND I will miss them! Their flight planes came and they will be going home on July 31st SO we will have a substitute mission president OR a miracle will happen and President and Sister Johnson will make it here!!! SO EVERYONE KEEP ON PRAYING OKAY THANKS!

We also had some incredible splits with the Sisters! OH MY GOODNESS I JUST LOVE THEM. They truly help me to learn and to grow more than they know and I am so grateful for them!!! I got to call Sister Torres, Sister Lawson, Sister Christenson, AND do a lesson with Sister Lundkvist! It was busy but definitely made for one happy Sister Farnworth! I just love them and I am grateful to have the opportunity to call them so often!!! THEY ARE THE BEST.
We love them!!

THEN we also had a miracle referral!!! SO we got a call from my past companion, Sister Buck, and she told us her friend in the Scotland/Ireland mission had a referral for us!!! SO we got to visit the referral on Thursday and she is AMAZING. We gave them a Book of Mormon and she wants to get baptized, along with her son! Isn't that SO HAPPY!??? AH it was incredible and I just feel so grateful because the Lord is truly on our side and His work goes forward!!!! I LOVE IT.
Splits!!

OTHER THAN THAT, this week was okay!! It definitely had its ups and downs but I am learning a lot and becoming the human God needs me to be!!! SO that is happy. I am just grateful for the Saviour and His Atonement. He is truly my Best Friend and helps me more than I probably know! There is a scripture I read today that I love in 1 Nephi 22:15-16 that says...

"yet will I not forget thee,... behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands"

OKAY simple but powerful. Christ will never forget about us, He is always there. He will always lift us up when we need it (and even when we don't)!!!! He is there for all of us and I am so grateful to know that! OKAY, YOU'RE ALL THE BEST AND I HOPE YOU HAVE A FANTABULOUS WEEK.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

THREE AND A HALF MONTHS LATER.. - 07/06/2020

GREGGS after 3.5 months!!

WELL my friends, it has officially been three and a half months of lockdown AND England is out of it!!!! ALL the shops are open (I even got to go to my favorite food place) and we are HAPPY. It honestly has felt unreal and it seems a little wild when you genuinely think of all that is going on in the world! We are definitely just counting our many blessings!!! AH, what a time to be a missionary!!!
Shopping..finally!

BUT this week was a good, good week!!! We started it off with a lil sister's lunch where basically we all Zoom called in and ate food and had a lot of laughs!!! AH I love my mission. Then we went on a GOOD five mile walk to meet a friend!!!! When we got back home I was real tired but it was so worth it!! She just wants to get baptized so we are PRAYING for a miracle (because basically, you can do most things but no baptisms)!!! BUT it was fun!!

Oh oh oh ALSO we had a lil fourth of July BBQ with a recent convert!!! It was SO fun! SO since lockdown has eased up, both missionaries in the area can go to a tea appointment so it was us, the Elders, and a recent convert and it was so fun. I love me some burgers!!!! We also had some skewers and sausage and S'MORES! AH, it was incredible but England didn't let us forget we were in England because the weather was still classic English weather 🤷🏽‍♀️ BUT that's okay!!!! We are still happy!!!
Celebrating the 4th of July

THEN to finish the week we were able to take the Sacrament and OH MY GOODNESS. It was a spiritually emotional time to be alive!!! I couldn't stop crying, we went to a members and we bore our testimonies and it was amazing! God is good!!!! I love Him and I love my Saviour, they are the greatest. It was the happiest moment to be alive. AH so incredible!!! Then the finally of the week was the Why I Believe Devotional which was incredible as always!!! Here is nothing better than hearing the testimony of recent converts :))

Calls with the Sisters!!

SPLITS!!

WELL, WHAT A HAPPY WEEK!!! I could jump for joy all day because of the joy I felt this week!!! It reminds me of a scripture in the Book of Mormon in Alma 5:26 and it says...

"And now behold, I say unto you... if ye have experienced a change of heart, and if ye have felt to sing the song of redeeming love, I would ask, can ye feel so now?"

AH this week was definitely a week where I have felt like singing the song of redeeming love!!! The gospel of Jesus Christ has changed my life for the good and I am so beyond GRATEFUL!!!!! I just love it all so much!!! IT IS INCREDIBLE. BUT yes I hope you all have a good week!!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth
Gotta love the weather in England..sunny and storming

"LET ME PAY FOR THOSE" - 06/29/2020

CELEBRATING HALFWAY TO CHRISTMAS WITH SISTER BIGGS!!
AH, FRIENDS GUESS WHAT. MIRACLES ARE REAL. So today we were just getting our groceries as one does and we met one of the members in our ward! THEN as we were scanning our groceries she stops by us and says let me pay for them! AH, we were so shook then she just stood there while we were scanning. It was the nicest thing that has ever happened and a moment I will definitely not forget because HUMANS ARE SO GOOD. I love her and it was just such a blessing!!!! AH, we are grateful!

BUT yes okay hello!!!! This week was a good week and we saw a lot of little miracles! We had splits or joined the weekly planning with the Sisters and I just love them so much! I swear I learn something new every time I talk to them and it is just incredible. They are the best!!! I got to chat more with Sister Watene from New Zealand, Sister Wetzker from Cali, Sister Bouwhuis from Utah and we joined the weekly planning with Sister LeBlanc and Sister Lundkvist!!! It was a bumpin good time especially since Sister Biggs and I both served in Shrewsbury for a little bit so we just new the people, it was nice!! AH, I love them!!!!

Splits with Sister Watene, Sister Wetzker, and Sister Bouwhuis! Study w Sister Buck, Sister Gremillion, and Sister Cairns! AND weekly planning with Sister Lundkvist and Sister LeBlanc :)

We also made two new friends this week which was SO HAPPY, if we are being real it has been a struggle to make time for everything we have to do but the Lord is providing so we are grateful!! AH God is truly aware of us my friends!!! It was so incredible and basically, we feel blessed over here in the good old Newcastle. AH, but I can't think of anything else that is big that happened this week! IT WAS JUST GOOD.

I LOVE THE GOSPEL FRIENDS. I don't know if you could tell but it's amazing!!! I am just living my best life! We had a lot of spiritual experiences but one that really stood out to me was from Romans 5:3-5 and it says:

"And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also: knowing that tribulation worketh patience; And patience, experience; and experience, hope: And hope maketh not ashamed; because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given unto us."

I just love that we should GLORY in tribulation because it teaches us and it helps us know the love of God through the Holy Ghost. AH, I am grateful for my trials and for this trial of my faith to be in lockdown. GOD IS GOOD MY FRIENDS!!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth
Funny pic of us remaking a fun video!!!

"WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU? HEHEHE" - 06/22/2020

Tea appointments!!
Strawberry picking and they gave us a rose!!

OKAY, FUNNY STORY FRIENDS. SO we were just reading the Book of Mormon with our returning member who speaks Spanish and is learning English AND I had a lil tickle in my throat and I started to cough and he just stops reading and says "what is wrong with you?" And then starts laughing hahahaha I was so shook!!! It was one of the funniest moments of my life I love him! Then we were in a devotional with members and we told them that we would lead it (since the elders lead this one) and a member goes "OH? that will be interesting!" SO basically this Sunday was a big roast sesh and it was so funny. I LOVE BRITS!!!!
Weekly planning!!

BUT yes it has been good! We went to a member to go strawberry picking (YUM) and to a recent converts home for tea (SO YUM)!!!! We also got to make an ad for the Newcastle area on Facebook which was SO FUN!!! It isn't my best work but it made me giggle! SO that was fun!!! We also hosted a lil devotional on our Facebook page which was fun!!! We had a huge miracle with it! This person I have been messaging (but she didn't respond for a minute) messaged me after and asked for a Book of  Mormon!!!! It was INCREDIBLE. I LOVE THE GOSPEL!!! AH what else happened??? We joined some Sisters planning then had splits and I was with my old companion Sister Lundkvist and wow!!!! SHE IS AMAZING. I miss her so much and I just love her with my whole heart!!! It was amazing!!! SO FUN.
Splits w Sister Lundkvist!!!

This week was just such a good week! I feel so grateful to be alive and just grateful for the gospel!!! I love being a missionary and all I get to learn while being here! I love my Saviour and the blessing He is in my life!!! I was reading a quote my friend sent to me and it is from Neal A Maxwell and it says:

"One's life cannot be both faith-filled and stress-free. How can you and I really expect to glide naively through life, as if to say, "Lord, give me experience, but not grief, not sorrow, not pain, not opposition, not betrayal, and certainly not to be forsaken. Keep from me, Lord, all those experiences which made thee what thou art! Then let me come and dwell with thee and fully share thy joy."

We cannot have the good if we do not have the bad! I am so grateful for every trial I have experienced on the mission and off the mission! I know they have helped me become the person God wants me to be and I feel so blessed. I love you ALL and I am grateful for you!!!! KEEP BEING YOU BECAUSE YOU ARE AMAZING.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

"IS SHE OKAY?!???" - 06/15/2020

Bye to Sister Buck!!
OKAY FRIENDS funny story!!! SO we were just chillin our couch (that is sitting in front of the window because gotta stay comfy) and A BIRD HITS OUR WINDOW. So we just look at each other and open the window and there is just a sad little bird outside laying on the ground :( AH we could not believe what was happening it was so wild!!! My heart just about broke but we went on with our next lesson then we looked out again AND IT WAS GONE. SO we felt very grateful that she came to life and got to live on with her life!!! HAPPY DAYS.
The bird!!

BUT this week was good!!!! BIG SAD that Sister Buck left :(( I miss her tons but Sister Biggs is great and I know we are going to have a lot of fun together so I am excited for the good things that are coming our way!!! It will be happy!!! We already have seen so many miracles and we have had so many friends and returning members at church which was INCREDIBLE and we feel so blessed! AH God is so good!! I love Him!!! HE IS SO AWARE. We also had our Mission Leadership Council which was so fun! I love it, we talked about Facebook and Social Media finding which is always exciting! BUT yeah those were the highlights of the week, it was just so wild!

Our sister's devotional!!

I feel like so much has been happening but honestly, this week is a blur hahahaa BUT I love the gospel so we can just talk about that ;) BUT lately, I have been studying a lot about the Saviour's grace and it is incredible!!! I love the scripture in 1 Peter 5:10 where it says:

10 But the God of all grace, who hath called us unto his eternal glory by Christ Jesus, after that ye have suffered a while, make you perfect, stablish, strengthen, settle you.

Sister Biggs attempts to make pizza dough!!

AHHHH I LOVE IT. I have just truly come to be so grateful that because of the grace of God is what we will help us to become the greatest version of ourselves!!! I just love it and I love my Saviour SO MUCH. AHHH WE ARE SO BLESSED. I hope you can all remember the love and trust our Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ have for each and every one of you!!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

Got to say hi to Sister Gremillion and Sister Buck for Sister Gremillion's birthday!!!!

A TEA APPOINTMENT?!???? - 06/09/2020

tea appointment!!!!

WELL FOLKS, you read it right! We were able to have our first tea appointment in the last three months BECAUSE England has made it so that six people can be in someone's backyard at once SO we had a lil tea appointment and it was incredible. We had to bring our own silverware which was funny but it was just so nice to be around humans! Then the member told us to smell their flowers so we did and they took a picture for our moms SO these are for you momma ;) SO GOOD.

We also saw lots of miracles this week as well! We were able to meet with a few returning members and our friends just seem to be doing so so good!!! SO it was incredible. We got a referral from a returning member and we set a lesson with a miracle friend and it is all just going so good, I LOVE THIS WORK. it is amazing!!!!

Some calls with the sisters!!

We also had some good splits and we did some studies with the sisters and we had weekly planning and it was all just amazing!!! I am so grateful, we heard some sad news that Sister Buck is leaving! TALK ABOUT HEARTBREAK. We are sad but it will be okay because we have some good mems planned during university so it will be fun! AND I am excited for my new companion called Sister Biggs from Arizona so it will be fun!!! I will learn a lot and it will be good so we are happy!!!
our funny set-up for a video we made!
WELL I LOVE THE GOSPEL MY FRIENDS. It is such an incredible blessing!!! I was studying a talk called 'the Caregiver' by Henry B. Eyring and it was INCREDIBLE. I definitely shed a few tears!!! There was one quote that said "As you keep the faith, you will find yourself invited by the Lord often to serve someone in need when it will not seem convenient." SO the Lord will help us to know when we can serve and He will help us in all circumstances!!! I JUST WANT YOU ALL TO READ THAT TALK, IT IS AMAZING.

BUT YES I LOVE YOU ALL AND HOPE YOU HAVE THE BEST WEEK!!!!!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth
