A TEA APPOINTMENT?!???? - 06/09/2020

tea appointment!!!!

WELL FOLKS, you read it right! We were able to have our first tea appointment in the last three months BECAUSE England has made it so that six people can be in someone's backyard at once SO we had a lil tea appointment and it was incredible. We had to bring our own silverware which was funny but it was just so nice to be around humans! Then the member told us to smell their flowers so we did and they took a picture for our moms SO these are for you momma ;) SO GOOD.

We also saw lots of miracles this week as well! We were able to meet with a few returning members and our friends just seem to be doing so so good!!! SO it was incredible. We got a referral from a returning member and we set a lesson with a miracle friend and it is all just going so good, I LOVE THIS WORK. it is amazing!!!!

Some calls with the sisters!!

We also had some good splits and we did some studies with the sisters and we had weekly planning and it was all just amazing!!! I am so grateful, we heard some sad news that Sister Buck is leaving! TALK ABOUT HEARTBREAK. We are sad but it will be okay because we have some good mems planned during university so it will be fun! AND I am excited for my new companion called Sister Biggs from Arizona so it will be fun!!! I will learn a lot and it will be good so we are happy!!!
our funny set-up for a video we made!
WELL I LOVE THE GOSPEL MY FRIENDS. It is such an incredible blessing!!! I was studying a talk called 'the Caregiver' by Henry B. Eyring and it was INCREDIBLE. I definitely shed a few tears!!! There was one quote that said "As you keep the faith, you will find yourself invited by the Lord often to serve someone in need when it will not seem convenient." SO the Lord will help us to know when we can serve and He will help us in all circumstances!!! I JUST WANT YOU ALL TO READ THAT TALK, IT IS AMAZING.

BUT YES I LOVE YOU ALL AND HOPE YOU HAVE THE BEST WEEK!!!!!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

"IT'S A FIRETRUCK!!!!" - 06/01/2020

Fire Adventures at 11:15pm

HI FRIENDS! WELL let me tell ya this fun adventure!!! SO we had just said our night prayers and we were laying in bed trying to fall asleep and all of the sudden we see these blue flashes lights through our windows and I didn't know if Sister Buck was awake so I am just chillin like "oh no" but then she sits up so that was the cue to get up! SO we go out to our main room and stick our heads out the window and there was A FIRE IN A BUSH BY OUR FLAT. We were so shook but there were lights flashing all over the place and at one point I looked above us and made eye contact with our upstairs neighbors (hehe) BUT it was fun!! Enjoy these funny pictures of us at 11:15 at night because it was so wild! It definitely reminded us how wild being a missionary is hahahaha LOVE THAT FOR US.
just your average walk! I love the warm weather!!!

We found fry sauce!
OTHER THAN THAT it was a solid week! We had some really good lessons with returning members and our friends! We talked about the Spirit and how we feel it and how the Lord helps us when we are confused! AH I love it so much! We also had some of the best splits ever!!!! I love these sisters so SO much so I am beyond grateful for them! I just feel like I am learning so much and I just feel so blessed y'all don't even understand!! BUT YEAH that was happy and it was just a good week!!
saying bye to sister smith, I love this woman SO SO much!!
SHE IS AMAZING!!

video call with the sisters:)

SPLITS!!
splits!!

AH also I love THE GOSPEL. As a mission we were studying the Christlike attribute: KNOWLEDGE!! It was so amazing and I just didn't realize how much I love knowledge! AH but I was reading in the doctrine and covenants and found a scripture that I am obsessed with and it talks about knowing what the Lord's will is and how that truly makes us rich with JOY! SO it is in d&c 38:39 and it says:

"And if ye seek the riches which it is the will of the Father to give unto you, ye shall be the richest of all people, for ye shall have the riches of eternity.."

AH I love this so much! When we know what the Lord has planned for us and we trust it and we do it, then WE WILL BE THE RICHEST OF ALL PEOPLE. AND not like money rich but that joyful richness we all desire, the gospel brings that!!! Isn't that amazing??!? I love the gospel so much!!! BUT YES SO HAPPY. I LOVE THIS WORK! and I HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A GOOD WEEK!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

BEST MOMENT EVER - 05/25/2020

ME and Sister Buck!!

HELLO EVERYBODY!!!!! This week was so exciting but definitely had a highlight of our Relief Society zoom meeting!!! I got to meet a bunch of sisters in the ward and it was so PURE. These ladies have not seen each other for 10 weeks so they were just chatting their little hearts away, talking about the grey in their hairs or all the things they are getting done or the food they were making. It was honestly one of the best moments of my life hahaha I WAS SO HAPPY. I honestly sat there and just thought, I am sure Heavenly Father is just looking down at all of these incredible humans and just smiling. IT WAS SO SO HAPPY. AH, I just hope that is a moment I will never forget in my life because it was so pure!!!

hanging out of our window because our service is rubbbbish!!!!!
We also had some laughs with our feet masks, we have been shedding SO bad all week hahaha it was an adventure for sure!!! We had to sweep every single day and they just wouldn't stop shedding!! BUT now we got some nice and smooth feet so we are happy about it hahaha it was worth it!! ALSO, district council was a hoot because our district leaders zoom kept crashing so it would just be us and an elder that is at home but in our district! We couldn't stop laughing at that hahahaha WE ALSO did some disney/movie character guessing for our zone zoom call one night and I was Ariel!!! Which I am not mad about because love that woman SO that was fun!!!
our yummy creation!!
We ALSO saw many miracles in the week! LET ME TELL YA! So Sister Buck was going to put the Bible on a Facebook buy and sell page but accidentally put the Book of Mormon (divine coincidence for sure) AND we got a few laughs and a "no thank you" BUT then there is this man that said he wants one! SO we messaged him and we will be chatting with him on the phone today and we are so SO excited! God is so aware of the people here and miracles have not ceased! SO YAY. We also have been trying to help our friends build her relationship with the Saviour and she is just making such great progress!!!! AH, I love her so much! She is incredible!!! I LOVE IT!!!!

adventures during district council, hahaha!!

WELL, this morning I was looking through Come, Follow Me for this week during my p-day studies AND I think I just about found my favourite scripture EVER. OKAY so it is in Mosiah 29:20 AND IT SAYS....

"But behold, he did deliver them because they did humble themselves before him; and because they cried mightily unto him he did deliver them out of bondage; and thus doth the Lord work with his power in all cases among the children of men, extending the arm of mercy towards them that put their trust in him."

AH, I don't know if this speaks to you like it speaks to me BUT I just love this so so SO much!!! The Lord's arm IS reaching out to us. He loves US and He wants to help US as long as we do our part and humble ourselves and trust Him. I love my Saviour so so SO much and I have felt His love so much recently and I am beyond grateful!!! I LOVE IT. BUT yes that is just my thought for the week, I hope you all have the best week EVER.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,

sister farnworth

WE ARE STILL INSIDE WOOT WOOT - 05/18/2020

ME and Sister Buck and our FEET MASKS!!
HELLO MY SWEET FRIENDS! I have come to a loss with what to title my emails every week AND I feel like lockdown is not helping the cause if you know what I mean! BUT yeah so that is why you get a very lame email title this week! SO ENJOY THANKS FRIENDS LOVE YOU ALL.

This week was a really good week!!! We did some feet masks (basically a face mask but for your feet) and it is suppose to peel away all the calluses so that is an adventure and my feet look very wrinkly! HM we also had a fun little Zone Tea where we all made our food at the same time and ate it together over a zoom call hahaha it was SO funny!!

SPLITS!!

ALSO we had virtual splits which was fun! Basically we call the Sisters in our stewardship and just share studies and chat and it is so fun I loved it so much! I am learning LOADS which is always nice so that was really fun and we have some most weeks this transfer so it is a nice thing to do and I am excited for the ones to come!!! We ALSO saw miracles so we posted this video on our Facebook page and it has like 1.4K views and we are honestly so shook because it is kinda lame BUT that's okay! We are hoping people will reach out and we can make some friends with it!!! ANOTHER MIRACLE was one day I had the idea to post in a random group and see how everyone was doing and we made a friend! It was so good! SO we are excited for that and it just shows how aware the Lord is of everyone and that the little ideas aren't from us but they are from the Lord!!! SO GOOD.
The Elders had to pic something up from us...
SO WILD to see humans in real life

Pretty Sunday walks..

I don't know if you could tell but I LOVE THE GOSPEL. Crazy, huh? IT IS JUST SO GOOD. I read a talk this week about humility since our mission president invited us all to study it!!! AND I LOVE HUMILITY. It is so powerful!! There was a quote in it from C.S. Lewis that says:

“Pride gets no pleasure out of having something, only out of having more of it than the next man. We say that people are proud of being rich, or clever, or good-looking, but they are not. They are proud of being richer, cleverer, or better-looking than others. If everyone else became equally rich, or clever, or good-looking there would be nothing to be proud about. It is the comparison that makes you proud: the pleasure of being above the rest. Once the element of competition has gone, pride has gone.”

Comparing ourselves to others will get us nowhere! We are all just human trying to figure out life one day at a time SO let us all remember the only opinion that matters is our Heavenly Father and He loves us SO much!!!! SO yes I just liked that. I hope you all have a good week!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

HEY DUCKY - 05/11/2020

Me and Sister Buck!!
Hahahaha FUN FACT FOR YOU ALL: In Newcastle/Stoke every calls everyone a duck or ducky!!!! I was in the grocery store asking someone for help and after she was like 'here you go ducky' and i was just so shocked it made me laugh! SO HELLO MY LITTLE DUCKIES HOW ARE YOU ALL!!! This week was a good week here in the good old England! We heard from our prime minister that there are minimum restrictions being lifted but nothing changed in our work SO we are just your classic sister missionaries chillin in our flat all day everyday WOOT WOOT.

BYE SISTER SINGH :(
A big change of the week was that Sister Singh went home! We were so sad but happy that she can enjoy the next part of life!!! It was so weird though being in a flat with only two people again but it is good too!!! One blessing is when there was three of us, we had to wear NORMAL CLOTHES AND NO NAMETAG TO THE STORE. AH. Talk about being out of your comfort zone!!!! Hahahaha I sound like such a missionary (it's almost like I am one????) but it is so weird SO we don't have to do that anymore which is good!!!
BYE SISTER SINGH :(
This week has been a crazy week full of a lot of in the flat adventures!!! We joined the weekly planning with the Shrewsbury sisters (i love that place hehe) and it was so good! I love just always having opportunities to learn from the Sisters and to grow in ways I now know I need, it is INCREDIBLE. AH we also had Mission Leadership Council and talk about so much information at once! It was wild BUT so good! We talked about diligence, technology, and all the new changes coming in the next 7 weeks. We will have a new Mission President! So we just talked about what is expected but AHHH it is so wild! I don't know how I feel!!! SO THAT IS FUN. I love it though!!!!

I feel like there has been a lot of change in my life this week and seeing someone go home made me realise I only have 5 more months of this incredible work (*starts crying*) BUT I am so grateful!!! I love being a missionary so much, it is so good!!! I also have just been feeling a lot of insecurity which has been an adventure but I love the scripture in Mosiah 7:33 where it says....

"But if ye will turn to the Lord with full purpose of heart, and put your trust in Him, and service him with all diligence of mind, if ye do this, he will, according to his own will and pleasure, deliver you out of bondage."

I KNOW that when we turn to the Lord always, He will help us!!!! No matter what our struggles are, He will!!! I love Him and I have felt Him strengthen me so much and I feel so blessed. AH I love the gospel!!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,

sister farnworth

HARDEST TRIAL AND HOW WE OVERCAME IT - 05/04/2020

My new cute comps!

HELLO BUDDY OLD PALS. WHAT IS UP!!!! This week was a good week, honestly kind of wild!! On Tuesday, Sister McReynolds came to pick me up and let me tell ya.. Saying goodbye to Sister Lundkvist was so sad!!! We are like the lockdown team yanno SO it was so sad! BUT she is amazing and I still get to call her whenever I want SO I AM HAPPY. BUT I had a good chat with Sister McReynolds on the way to my new area and I am so grateful for her I love her!!!! THEN I came with my new comps and I LOVE THEM. Sister Buck and I are literally the same human so it is nice!!! ALSO, Sister Singh and she is going home this week which is a big sad :( BUT we made a really good transfer vision so we are really excited for the incredible things coming in our future!!! AH, it is amazing!!!

If I could say one thing about transfers in lockdown is that getting to know people over a video call is lowkey a struggle hahaha I feel like when this is all over, I won't know these people and it will be like meeting new people when we can go to church again!! SO CRAZY. BUT I LOVE IT!!!!! I am learning loads in so many different aspects of life so it is good and I wouldn't change it for the world! I love being a missionary!!!! We have seen lots of miracles with our friends, I will just share one BUT we had a friend and he is so good! He told us that he knows the Book of Mormon is the word of God and in our lesson he basically summarised the first 10 chapters in very good detail. IT WAS AMAZING! We are going to have a booming lesson with him this week and we are so excited! SO that is good!!!
We made yummy food and tea!!

NOW to talk about my title of the email this week! SO something we have been doing is calling one set of sisters in our stewardship every day and doing like a 20 questions of get to know you game and something someone asked us was "What is the hardest thing from your mission and how did you overcome it?" AND WOW IT WAS SO POWERFUL. The spirit was amazing and I just love it so much!!!! I was thinking a lot about it and I found a scripture about the Atonement of Jesus Christ that I LOVED in 2 Nephi 9:21 and it said....

"And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and children, who belong to the family of Adam."

It is talking about Christ and how His Atonement is for EVERYONE. It can help us in our dark times but also in the good times!!!! SO yeah the biggest thing I have learned is I am grateful for trials, I mean they suck but they teach us so much and there is always a silver lining. BUT YES so if you are feeling down about life, I promise there is good to come and I promise the Saviour understands you!!! AH SO GOOD. I MISS YOU ALL AND HOPE YOU KEEP ON SMILING.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

GOODBYE SHREWSBURY, HELLO NEWCASTLE/STOKE - 04/27/2020

Enjoying the sun!
HELLO BEAUTIFUL HUMANS WHAT IS UP. I do have some sad news and I am so sad BUT also excited for the new adventure ahead!!! I am leaving Shrewsbury :( I am so sad too!!!! I love these people and this place and my sweet companion SO yeah but that's a sad day! I am going to a place called Newcastle/Stoke (it's two wards so that will be fun!!!!) and I will be serving as a Sister Training Leader! AH, it was quite the shock to me if we are being honest, I wasn't really expecting it!!! BUUUT it should be good! I will be with a sister called Sister Buck and she is amaaaaazing!!! SO YEAH. That is my life!!!

OTHER THAN THAT, this week was a good week!! Our friends are doing well and happy! We even had a friend pray at the devotional with members, it was so pure :') AH I love these people. They are the best!!! Our friend on date is doing okay but lockdown is not our friend hahaha let's just say that! We are hoping it will end soon so that Satan stops getting to the hearts of these people!!! SO THAT WILL BE GOOD. I am excited to see all the good that comes!!! HMMM WHAT ELSE. It was a wild week I feel like but I can't really remember much of what happened. WHOOPS. Sorry about it!!!
We made yummy food!

Love this quote!

BUUUUT yes this week was good! We had a lot of spiritual experiences which is ALWAYS SO GOOD. AH I love it!! SO during our Sunday devotional with members, we all shared some favorite stories about Christ and I thought of Matthew 4:19 and it is when Christ goes to Peter and says...

"And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."

I love the analogy of this and instantly thought of a quote from a training I went to a little while back! Someone shared the thought that says something like if you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day but if you teach a man to fish, you can feed him for a lifetime AND I LOVE THAT. God doesn't give us what we want in the moment because it won't teach us! Instead, he teaches through our trials so we can learn and grow for the future! SO YES. The Lord is just teaching us all how to fish and I am grateful!!! I LOVE THE GOSPEL. I LOVE ALL OF YOU. HAVE A GOOD WEEK.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth
Good-bye Shrewsbury!!
