WE ARE STILL INSIDE WOOT WOOT - 05/18/2020

ME and Sister Buck and our FEET MASKS!!
HELLO MY SWEET FRIENDS! I have come to a loss with what to title my emails every week AND I feel like lockdown is not helping the cause if you know what I mean! BUT yeah so that is why you get a very lame email title this week! SO ENJOY THANKS FRIENDS LOVE YOU ALL.

This week was a really good week!!! We did some feet masks (basically a face mask but for your feet) and it is suppose to peel away all the calluses so that is an adventure and my feet look very wrinkly! HM we also had a fun little Zone Tea where we all made our food at the same time and ate it together over a zoom call hahaha it was SO funny!!

SPLITS!!

ALSO we had virtual splits which was fun! Basically we call the Sisters in our stewardship and just share studies and chat and it is so fun I loved it so much! I am learning LOADS which is always nice so that was really fun and we have some most weeks this transfer so it is a nice thing to do and I am excited for the ones to come!!! We ALSO saw miracles so we posted this video on our Facebook page and it has like 1.4K views and we are honestly so shook because it is kinda lame BUT that's okay! We are hoping people will reach out and we can make some friends with it!!! ANOTHER MIRACLE was one day I had the idea to post in a random group and see how everyone was doing and we made a friend! It was so good! SO we are excited for that and it just shows how aware the Lord is of everyone and that the little ideas aren't from us but they are from the Lord!!! SO GOOD.
The Elders had to pic something up from us...
SO WILD to see humans in real life

Pretty Sunday walks..

I don't know if you could tell but I LOVE THE GOSPEL. Crazy, huh? IT IS JUST SO GOOD. I read a talk this week about humility since our mission president invited us all to study it!!! AND I LOVE HUMILITY. It is so powerful!! There was a quote in it from C.S. Lewis that says:

“Pride gets no pleasure out of having something, only out of having more of it than the next man. We say that people are proud of being rich, or clever, or good-looking, but they are not. They are proud of being richer, cleverer, or better-looking than others. If everyone else became equally rich, or clever, or good-looking there would be nothing to be proud about. It is the comparison that makes you proud: the pleasure of being above the rest. Once the element of competition has gone, pride has gone.”

Comparing ourselves to others will get us nowhere! We are all just human trying to figure out life one day at a time SO let us all remember the only opinion that matters is our Heavenly Father and He loves us SO much!!!! SO yes I just liked that. I hope you all have a good week!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

HEY DUCKY - 05/11/2020

Me and Sister Buck!!
Hahahaha FUN FACT FOR YOU ALL: In Newcastle/Stoke every calls everyone a duck or ducky!!!! I was in the grocery store asking someone for help and after she was like 'here you go ducky' and i was just so shocked it made me laugh! SO HELLO MY LITTLE DUCKIES HOW ARE YOU ALL!!! This week was a good week here in the good old England! We heard from our prime minister that there are minimum restrictions being lifted but nothing changed in our work SO we are just your classic sister missionaries chillin in our flat all day everyday WOOT WOOT.

BYE SISTER SINGH :(
A big change of the week was that Sister Singh went home! We were so sad but happy that she can enjoy the next part of life!!! It was so weird though being in a flat with only two people again but it is good too!!! One blessing is when there was three of us, we had to wear NORMAL CLOTHES AND NO NAMETAG TO THE STORE. AH. Talk about being out of your comfort zone!!!! Hahahaha I sound like such a missionary (it's almost like I am one????) but it is so weird SO we don't have to do that anymore which is good!!!
BYE SISTER SINGH :(
This week has been a crazy week full of a lot of in the flat adventures!!! We joined the weekly planning with the Shrewsbury sisters (i love that place hehe) and it was so good! I love just always having opportunities to learn from the Sisters and to grow in ways I now know I need, it is INCREDIBLE. AH we also had Mission Leadership Council and talk about so much information at once! It was wild BUT so good! We talked about diligence, technology, and all the new changes coming in the next 7 weeks. We will have a new Mission President! So we just talked about what is expected but AHHH it is so wild! I don't know how I feel!!! SO THAT IS FUN. I love it though!!!!

I feel like there has been a lot of change in my life this week and seeing someone go home made me realise I only have 5 more months of this incredible work (*starts crying*) BUT I am so grateful!!! I love being a missionary so much, it is so good!!! I also have just been feeling a lot of insecurity which has been an adventure but I love the scripture in Mosiah 7:33 where it says....

"But if ye will turn to the Lord with full purpose of heart, and put your trust in Him, and service him with all diligence of mind, if ye do this, he will, according to his own will and pleasure, deliver you out of bondage."

I KNOW that when we turn to the Lord always, He will help us!!!! No matter what our struggles are, He will!!! I love Him and I have felt Him strengthen me so much and I feel so blessed. AH I love the gospel!!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,

HARDEST TRIAL AND HOW WE OVERCAME IT - 05/04/2020

My new cute comps!

HELLO BUDDY OLD PALS. WHAT IS UP!!!! This week was a good week, honestly kind of wild!! On Tuesday, Sister McReynolds came to pick me up and let me tell ya.. Saying goodbye to Sister Lundkvist was so sad!!! We are like the lockdown team yanno SO it was so sad! BUT she is amazing and I still get to call her whenever I want SO I AM HAPPY. BUT I had a good chat with Sister McReynolds on the way to my new area and I am so grateful for her I love her!!!! THEN I came with my new comps and I LOVE THEM. Sister Buck and I are literally the same human so it is nice!!! ALSO, Sister Singh and she is going home this week which is a big sad :( BUT we made a really good transfer vision so we are really excited for the incredible things coming in our future!!! AH, it is amazing!!!

If I could say one thing about transfers in lockdown is that getting to know people over a video call is lowkey a struggle hahaha I feel like when this is all over, I won't know these people and it will be like meeting new people when we can go to church again!! SO CRAZY. BUT I LOVE IT!!!!! I am learning loads in so many different aspects of life so it is good and I wouldn't change it for the world! I love being a missionary!!!! We have seen lots of miracles with our friends, I will just share one BUT we had a friend and he is so good! He told us that he knows the Book of Mormon is the word of God and in our lesson he basically summarised the first 10 chapters in very good detail. IT WAS AMAZING! We are going to have a booming lesson with him this week and we are so excited! SO that is good!!!
We made yummy food and tea!!

NOW to talk about my title of the email this week! SO something we have been doing is calling one set of sisters in our stewardship every day and doing like a 20 questions of get to know you game and something someone asked us was "What is the hardest thing from your mission and how did you overcome it?" AND WOW IT WAS SO POWERFUL. The spirit was amazing and I just love it so much!!!! I was thinking a lot about it and I found a scripture about the Atonement of Jesus Christ that I LOVED in 2 Nephi 9:21 and it said....

"And he cometh into the world that he may save all men if they will hearken unto his voice; for behold, he suffereth the pains of all men, yea, the pains of every living creature, both men, women, and children, who belong to the family of Adam."

It is talking about Christ and how His Atonement is for EVERYONE. It can help us in our dark times but also in the good times!!!! SO yeah the biggest thing I have learned is I am grateful for trials, I mean they suck but they teach us so much and there is always a silver lining. BUT YES so if you are feeling down about life, I promise there is good to come and I promise the Saviour understands you!!! AH SO GOOD. I MISS YOU ALL AND HOPE YOU KEEP ON SMILING.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

GOODBYE SHREWSBURY, HELLO NEWCASTLE/STOKE - 04/27/2020

Enjoying the sun!
HELLO BEAUTIFUL HUMANS WHAT IS UP. I do have some sad news and I am so sad BUT also excited for the new adventure ahead!!! I am leaving Shrewsbury :( I am so sad too!!!! I love these people and this place and my sweet companion SO yeah but that's a sad day! I am going to a place called Newcastle/Stoke (it's two wards so that will be fun!!!!) and I will be serving as a Sister Training Leader! AH, it was quite the shock to me if we are being honest, I wasn't really expecting it!!! BUUUT it should be good! I will be with a sister called Sister Buck and she is amaaaaazing!!! SO YEAH. That is my life!!!

OTHER THAN THAT, this week was a good week!! Our friends are doing well and happy! We even had a friend pray at the devotional with members, it was so pure :') AH I love these people. They are the best!!! Our friend on date is doing okay but lockdown is not our friend hahaha let's just say that! We are hoping it will end soon so that Satan stops getting to the hearts of these people!!! SO THAT WILL BE GOOD. I am excited to see all the good that comes!!! HMMM WHAT ELSE. It was a wild week I feel like but I can't really remember much of what happened. WHOOPS. Sorry about it!!!
We made yummy food!

Love this quote!

BUUUUT yes this week was good! We had a lot of spiritual experiences which is ALWAYS SO GOOD. AH I love it!! SO during our Sunday devotional with members, we all shared some favorite stories about Christ and I thought of Matthew 4:19 and it is when Christ goes to Peter and says...

"And he saith unto them, Follow me, and I will make you fishers of men."

I love the analogy of this and instantly thought of a quote from a training I went to a little while back! Someone shared the thought that says something like if you give a man a fish, you feed him for a day but if you teach a man to fish, you can feed him for a lifetime AND I LOVE THAT. God doesn't give us what we want in the moment because it won't teach us! Instead, he teaches through our trials so we can learn and grow for the future! SO YES. The Lord is just teaching us all how to fish and I am grateful!!! I LOVE THE GOSPEL. I LOVE ALL OF YOU. HAVE A GOOD WEEK.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth
Good-bye Shrewsbury!!

THREE MORE WEEKS (AT LEAST) AND WE ARE STILL SMILING - 04/20/2020

My favorite humans in these pictures!!

HELLO PEOPLE THAT I LOVE SO MUCH. Well, another week indoors and we found out we will be here for three more weeks which is honestly just wild!!!! BUT that is okay! We are not too mad about it because we are staying safe and still working hard so it is good!! I do LOVE emails of positivity so feel free to keep them coming!!!
Still Smiling!!

We had such a great week spiritually! I LOVE THE GOSPEL. I feel like we have seen so many miracles since being in lockdown and the Spirit has just been thriving!! SO LET ME JUST TELL YOU SOME OF THESE INCREDIBLE EXPERIENCES. FIRST, we have a friend who is just incredible! He is a little bit older and just about my best friend!!!! I love him! ANYWHO so we first met with him when we first got here two months ago and he basically said he wants to know why the Book of Mormon is not true!!! SO we were like hmm okay BUT we do not give up! SO we have continued to meet with him and this week he said that the Book of Mormon is about Jesus Christ and that is enough for him!!!! I WAS SO HAPPY. HE IS MAKING PROGRESS PEOPLE. IT IS AMAZING. SO that was such a happy day and I am so happy! AH, I love the gospel! SECOND, we have been finding over Facebook and it has been successful which is good!!! People's hearts are truly being softened!!! AND THIRD, Sister Lundkvist and I are still buds! Hahahaha I don't know about all of you but being in a flat with the same person nonstop can be a struggle but we are happy and that is a blessing for sure!
Some fun pics with my comp!

THEN we had some amazing devotionals with the mission and members and lessons! I have learned so much! For one of the devotionals, I studied the talk "the Great Commandment" and IT IS SO GOOD. It is all about love and I LOVE LOVE SO YOU KNOW I LOVE IT. AH there was one quote that I loved especially and it is when he said...

"True love lasts forever. It is eternally patient and forgiving. It believes, hopes, and endures all things. That is the love of our Heavenly Father bears for us."

AH, I LOVE THAT. Our Heavenly Father is the BEST. His love is so amazing and SO there. Something I have quickly learned in lockdown is that it is not easy! Some days are going to be harder than others and some days my best is definitely not the same as others! BUT that is okay!!! God still loves us and is so patient with us. AH, I LOVE IT. I LOVE HIM. I LOVE THE GOSPEL!!! I LOVE YOU ALL AND HOPE YOU HAVE THE BEST WEEK.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

DAY 30 IN QUARANTINE - 04/13/2020

Our mission singing!
Food video call with sisters!
WELLLLLLL MY FRIENDS. It has officially been one month of quarantine for us here in the good old Shrewsbury!!! It has been quite the adjustment but we are THRIVING. We have Facebook so we have been able to do a lot of finding through that AND we just keep on teaching people! I feel like the biggest question we get from everyone in the whole planet is: "What do you do all day?" WELLLLL my friends do I have a big shocker for you, we do missionary work!! I KNOW, call me crazy!!! It is almost like we are... still missionaries???? Hahahaha no but on the real we do it all! We just do it all in a very different and unique way!!
Adventures on our walks!

IT IS SO FUN!!! The work is still just as exciting but we definitely have our moments where we gotta do things for fun! Hahahaha most of the time Sister Lundkvist and I are just pulling pranks on each other so we don't go crazy (or maybe because we already have???) BUT it is fun! We like it!!! We have seen a lot of miracles and we have just been talking to random humans on Facebook and they are (mostly) all so nice! THE WORLDS HEARTS ARE BEING softened IT IS INCREDIBLE, I LOVE IT. So that has been nice! ALSO, Sister Lundkvist has become an A1 cheerleader since being in quarantine so we are happy for her and her big accomplishments ;) she is going to the pros when she gets home!!!

HMMM, WHAT ELSE. OH YES. I HIT ONE YEAR. WHAT IS HAPPENING WITH MY LIFE. I legit feel like I left yesterday so that is kind of wild and I don't know where that came from BUT YES. I am so grateful to still be here and basically, I never want to leave so I guess I willl see you all never ;) JUST KIDDING but time is going too fast for me and I am not a fan! I can't believe I have been a missionary for one whole year! I am so grateful, I love this work so much!!!

In honor of my ONE YEAR, I just thought I would share a sweet and simple testimony for you! BUT I know that this is the true and most pure gospel of Jesus Christ and I LOVE it. I know that Heavenly Father is truly what we call Him, our Father in Heaven. He loves us, knows us by name, and is SO aware of us! He just needs us to open the door to let Him in! I know that Jesus Christ is my Saviour and Best Friend! He has been through it all, FOR US. He is the PERFECT empathizer and is there for us no matter what we think! I am SO grateful for Him!!! I love Him!!! I know that the Holy Ghost is real and that is how we can communicate with our Heavenly Father and Saviour. I LOVE IT ALL. I know that the Book of Mormon is true and I know that it is truly how we can know our Saviour the best.  I love it SO much!!!!! IT IS SO INCREDIBLE. I say this in the name of Jesus Christ, amen. I LOVE YOU ALL. I HOPE YOU HAVE THE BEST WEEK.

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth

HAPPY DAYS IN LOCKDOWN - 04/06/2020

HELLO SWEET FRIENDS!!! Well, this week was one for the books and a week I will truly never forget because of the Spirit that has just been nonstop AMAZING. ALSO, we had some funny moments with making fun little lockdown vlogs (purely for our entertainment, so none of you will see it. SORRY LOVE YOU) AND we have our little moments for our sanity! AND we found the best little spot for our walks which is nice, I miss the mountains so it is the closest thing to that right now!!! SO WE ARE BLESSED but yes let me tell you about my week!!!

OKAY FOR STARTERS, we had a mission zoom call which was AMAAAZING!!! As a mission, we read the talk called "Lessons from Liberty Jail" by Elder Holland and it is so so incredible! THEN we talked about how we prepared for general conference which was really good! AHHH we loved it! THEN WE HAD THE BLESSING OF GENERAL CONFERENCE AND OH MY GOODNESS! I LOVE GENERAL CONFERENCE! I mean I definitely took that for granted when I was home, there are so many amazing things!!!! I was your classic sister missionary and shed a few tears SO LOVE THAT FOR US. But it was so good!!! THEN another part of our happy days was that we dated our friend for BAPTISM!!! AH MIRACLES. The Spirit was so strong!!! He is so good and has been able to have so many spiritual experiences which is so good!! AH WE LOVE IT. He will be baptized on June 6th and so we are JUST PRAYING that the corona will be over till then because the Lord's work will not stop!!!

WE LOVE IT SO MUCH!!!! I love this work TOO MUCH. There were so many spiritual moments this week and one, in particular, was when my favorite hymn was sung at general conference! It is hymn number 136 and two lines that I love are....

Oh, sweet the joy this sentence gives:
“I know that my Redeemer lives!”

IT IS TRULY SWEET JOY. I LOVE THIS GOSPEL. I love my Saviour and I know He lives and loves all of you, He is there to help you! I PROMISE. I LOVE YOU, HAVE A GOOD WEEK!!!

LOVE YOU ALWAYS,
sister farnworth
